There lies within
A depth untouched
A part unloved
A hope un-crushed.

A story untold,
A lie unheard,
A passion un-shared.

A fear unleashed
A truth un-hidden.

A tear unshed,
A glory un-masked.

My Light

In a world full of strife,
I see you in delight,
What can you do, my dear,
But be my guiding light.

Your face glows with laughter,
Your mind’s an open book,
Why can’t I be like you,
And recreate my own nook?

Life’s full of adventure
A trail I fumble along,
But, promise to change my ways,
So I know where I belong.

Who Am I?

A person to love,
A person to hate.
A person to kill,
A person to date.

A person so humble,
A person so kind,
A person so crazy,
A person so blind.

Who am I?

An artist or a writer,
A musician or an entrepreneur,
A chef or a mother,
A housewife or a business owner.

Who am I?

I am she, who everyone thinks they know,
but no one does.

Anti-Leisure

What is the world,
So full of care,
That we have time,
To stand and scare!

Time to scold,
Time to be bold,
Time to grumble,
And Time to crumble.

But no time to see,
The kindness, in her eyes,
No time to see, the love,
In his heart.

What is this life,
Just full of care,
We have no time,
To stand or stare!

Anniversary Special

There are moments in time,
Very few these days,
And on rare occasions,
That I feel inexpressibly happy.

We walked, we chatted,
We listened to each other.
In times of stress, we felt at peace,
By the river in Boat Quay.

Promises were made,
Dreams were aired,
Faith was renewed,
In the love we shared.

It was a night to remember
A very special occasion,
The landmark in our journey,
Of 5 years of togetherness.

How many times have we heard it being said these days? – on television, on talk shows, on radio, in newspapers, amongst friends… Everywhere!

While we are all at home, vigilant and over-worked, while we are revelling in additional family time and the freedom from office-culture, we are also at times unconsciously suppressing our anxiety for our future – ...

Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ka(co)rona!

In the last two weeks, a few friends got together and decided to create a video, much like those that are doing the rounds on WhatsApp groups. But being a writer, I wanted to tell a story as well.

So we created this small movie, which represents our current lives, lessons learnt, and shares a small message.

Covid Mania

Last night we had a fight. A big one. It was also that kind of a week you know. Many of you will not be surprised. As per several reports, domestic violence is snowballing at an alarming rate and its being predicted that divorce rates will be on an exponential rise post lockdown. Hell! What a terrible way to celebrate freedom from the cages of our homes!

But that is not why I felt compelled to write this blog today.

For all our disagreements and major showdowns, I hope and pray, we will stay...
