A Dream Come True
I started writing back in high school. In typing class, I was so far ahead of everyone else that my teacher let me do basically whatever I wanted. I chose to spend that time writing a daily series.
All of my friends and many people I didn't even know read them. People would ask, "What's going to happen tomorrow?" My response was always, "You'll have to wait and see."
After high school, life got in the way and my writing career fizzled into the abyss. I got married, became a truck driver, had children, and didn't have a great deal of time to spend writing. I'm sure many can relate.
My wonderful, beautiful daughters are grown now and I decided a few months ago to follow my teenage passion. I recently started writing again and my book, "If Only You Were Gone" has been very well received. Everyone who read it says it was amazing and they want another one.
I never really imagined it as a series, but the overwhelming want for it might make it happen. I have other books that will be released in the coming weeks, such as, "In My Darkest Hour - A book of poems," and "Chestnut Ridge."
I am very excited for what is to come and extremely happy that my dream is becoming a reality. When people ask what I do, I now tell them I'm an author.
