Heartbroken Poets (Poetry)
Is this pain new?
Or is it as old as time?
Has love always been this unkind?
Or did lately learn to unleash its wrath?
Did this love reopen an ancient scar?
Or did it just inflict a fresh wound?
Love has always known
To devour its lover alone
Since time immemorial…
But Darling!
I’m too a wanderer
From the land of
Heartbroken Poets:
And we don’t cry
Our hearts out
In dark corners;
We spill inks,
We bleed on paper,
We take our broken heart
And turn it into art.
A Curse For True Love : Stephanie Garber || Book Review
“The problem with happily ever after is that it’s more of an idea than a reality. A dream that lives on after a storyteller is finished. But real stories never finish.”
~A Curse for True Love, Stephanie Garber
And Evangeline’s story certainly didn’t end, being trapped in the deadly battle for happily ever after, where she evidently paid a devastating price to live in a fairytale that doesn’t even seem to be her own!
Memories are tampered, bloods are shed, hearts are stolen, truths play hid...

Once Upon a Broken Heart : Stephanie Garber || Book Review
“All stories are made of both truth and lies… what matters is the way that we believe in them.”
~Once Upon a Broken Heart, Stephanie Garber
And for those who have grown up believing in fairytales with its happily ever after, it’s normal to hope for the same in their life and too difficult to deal when the bubble bursts.
Reality hits Evangeline Fox in the face when the guy she dreamt her happily ever after with falls in love with someone else. With her heart broken, dreams shattered and lif...
The Perfect Lover (Poetry)
We live and die
In the hope
To meet the
Perfect Lover:
Who would compose eternal songs for us,
Who would paint us in their timeless art,
Who would immortalise us in their poems.
And in that hope,
Against that desire,
Amid that wait,
We compose our own songs for them,
We paint them in our own art,
We immortalise them in our own poems…
We die a thousand deaths,
And are born anew a million times,
In our unfathomable love
For our formless lover!
We keep dreaming
Of the Lover
Who would love us
With an intens...

Heidi: Johanna Spyri
“Flowers are made to bloom in the sun and not to be shut up in an apron.”
~Heidi, Johanna Spyri
A child can teach us a million lessons of life, if we can just allow them to run wild and free, away from the constraints of adults, away from the shackles of rules and responsibilities.
Heidi is one such free-spirited little girl who teaches us the greatest lesson: to find joys in little things, to be kind ti every tiny creature, to count every small blessings, to love with all our heart and to ...
Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland : Lewis Carroll
“I don’t think they play at all fairly… They keep fighting. On top of that, the game does not have any rules…”
~Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll
A book that on the surface appears like a fantasy, a figment of imagination, a dream of a child bored of the mundane life, slowly reveals itself to be a social satire, a parody on the education system and a mockery of the ruling system, ridiculing the chaotic legal and political structure where sentence comes before verdict!
Amid the...

The Rebel is Dead (Poetry)
After decades of fighting
With rules,
With society,
With herself:
The Rebel is dead.
Knife ripped her heart,
Fire burned her soul,
Time withered her away;
The world pinned her down,
Till she finally believed:
The Rebel is dead.
There is no more fire
In her burnt soul,
There is no more power
In her wilting desire;
There is no more hope
In her dying heart;
After the fierce battle:
The Rebel is dead.
Dreams lost,
Values shattered,
Voice silenced,
Poetry murdered;
Alas, the war did end:
And the Rebel is dead.

Spiritual Rebirth Through Poetry || Book Review: Kingfisher by Dipa Sanatani
“Unshackle the soul
~Kingfisher, Dipa Sanatani
for the great transmigration
for the limitless flight
The spirit finally rises
beyond multiple lives”
In the vast, unrelenting theatre of existence, the soul finds itself ensnared in the invisible web of samsara—a cosmic snare spun from longing, heartbreak, and karmic entanglements. It breaks, it burns, it drowns and resurfaces in wave after wave of yearning… until, from the silence beyond worlds, a call resounds—an ancient summons drawing th...
