The 2020 State of the Inkwell

Since my last update, a lot has been happening behind the scenes. I’m Not Dead Yet!
I’m not dead yet.
Physically and mentally, it can be said that I’m still alive. My work has not been up to par, but I continue to live and work. Due to my obligations to being the father I want to be and the teacher my students deserve, my writing has taken to the low burner to avoid burnout. I love to write, but I can’t write well if I’m exhausted or worried about my students. Even if I wanted Hack out by Christmas, there’s little chance of that happening.

Accepted Recodes
It’s been a while since I’ve posted here, but I have a great reason.
First, the rework of Login Accepted is about to go live after my last beta reader finishes with it. This version will also be open to paperback! Exciting! There are plenty of under the hood fixes for this version that include additional details, item information for weapons, grammar fixes, a preview chapter of Login Re:Coded, and a few small seeds for future plot connections. Login Accepted Redux
Well, time for an announcement. After another long round of editing, soul searching, blood, and tears, Login Accepted V3 is nearing release in both eBook and paper back form.
This is a completely redone version of the book with a new editor. This version also corrects many structural and grammatical elements that were missed as well as some small alignment changes to things like status messages for alignment with the new book.
This should be released around the end of April a few weeks or days before Login Re:Coded is released.

Latest Update: March Madness
It’s been quite a while since I’ve found time to post here.
With Player Three being born and being an adorable distraction, I’ve not had a lot of time to maintain things here. However, I’ve not been idle! Book two, Login Re:Coded, is at the editor’s, the cover art is done, and, with luck, it will be available by the start of May. Almost poetically, it will be close to a year to the day for Login Accepted. The novel is pushing 94,000 words, so it is a bit shorter than book one. With that said,...
