This latest novel is slightly futuristic, beginning in 2162. I watched a lot of TED talks on Youtube to have ideas of what the experts see in the not too distant future.
Cityborn is a nasty psychopath and receives a sentence of 99 years in prison. He learns of two genetic scientists that have discovered how to keep telomeres from degrading, which will extend human life by 150 years.
He had money from his robberies before he was locked up. He uses some of those funds to reach beyond the prison walls and steal some of the breakthrough medication, and he has the scientist killed.
The scientist's son grows up wanting to avenge his parent's death.
Many twists and turns occur in this science fiction thriller.
