Book Two Update

This week, Mage-Born Chronicles Book 2 hit 132K word count!!! (And it's still going...)

I'm sure I'll get the word count down in editing, but right now I'm just working on the rough draft and getting all my thoughts down on the page. I can say that the rough draft is about to wrap up and my goal will be to put the finishing touches on it next week. Still no release date for now and still no official title yet, as just about everything in the rough draft is subject to change. But so far everything about Book 2 is moving along swimmingly!

I'd be happy to answer any questions about the first book, Sorcerous Rivalry, but if you're reading this and you've finished Sorcerous Rivalry, I'd love to hear if there is anything specific you would like to see addressed in Book 2. Send me any of your thoughts and questions. I look forward to hearing from you!

Huzzah, new laptop!!

So a little over a week ago my old (very, very old) laptop decided it didn't know how to Word any more which definitely put a halt to my work on Book Two of the Mage-Born Chronicles. My shiny new laptop has finally arrived and I am in the process of transferring all my files over so I can continue working on book two's first rough draft. It's rough, guys, but it's coming along, I promise!

The more exciting news is that a friend of mine sketched out the first-ever fan art for Sorcerous Rivalry!!! /SQUEE!!! I love fan art! It was super cute and extremely motivating for me to get on with the next book. Yay!

If you have any questions you would like to ask me, I would love to hear from you! Either send me a message on Goodreads or submit a question through my page. Thanks for reading!

Sorcerous Rivalry finally available on Amazon!

This past week I accomplished one of my lifelong goals: self-publishing a book! Sorcerous Rivalry is now available on Kindle as an ebook or through Amazon as a paperback. This was a story that really caught me up and wouldn't let me go, so I hope it will do the same for you!

I actually began writing Sorcerous Rivalry in September of 2017. It was a tumultuous time for me as I was preparing to move from Idaho all the way out to Long Island, NY. I remember typing on my laptop after the house had been emptied by the movers, in the RV as we drove across the country, and in the hotel my family lived in from November to January (my family consists of two greyhounds, two spoiled cats, an iguana and a ball python. It was a crowded hotel room!). Despite all of that, the characters of Sorcerous Rivalry would not let me rest until their story was told.

To that end, the first rough draft of book two is coming along strong--just another two chapters or so and I can begin the ever-thrilling process of editing it into something worth reading. I'll continue to update my progress on book two here, but if you have any questions for me in the meantime, please ask away! I look forward to hearing from you.
