What’s New?
Things have been busy!
On July 7th, I had my first book signing with Barnes and Nobles right here in Reno. I’m excited to say it was a success.
First, I’d like to say how grateful I am that I had my family with me for the big event. They are incredibly supportive, and I wouldn’t be where I am or the person I am without their love and support. There were others that wanted to be there, and we missed them.

Quick Update
It’s been a busy couple of weeks since I published The Tenth House. I continue to be humbled and amazed by the excitement and support for this book. I wouldn’t be where I am without the special people in my life and I can’t wait to see where this journey leads. Thank you all.
In case you missed it, last week on was on the morning news for the local Fox station to help promote my book.

I’m thrilled to announce that The Tenth House is published and on sale!
I’ve never been more proud than I am today. The original childhood dream has been accomplished, and there’s nowhere to go but up from here. So far, the book has been well received and I continue to be both humbled and grateful for the interest and excitement.

Reno, Nevada – The Primary Location for the Tenth House
Reno, Nevada. Reno is the primary location of The Tenth House and will continue to be the location used throughout the Turn of the Zodiac series. It’s also the place I call home. It’s by far the most unique place I’ve ever lived, and the beauty surrounding the city never fails to amaze me.
When I first chose to use Reno as Ciara’s home, I was using the adage, write what you know.

Book Update – Plus a Major Announcement
My childhood dream is officially about to become a reality. But more on that later.
Self-publishing is turning out to be quite the journey. Some days I’m so excited, and other days, I’m so overwhelmed I don’t know where to begin. Every day has been a learning process.
A lot has happened since the last book update. I’ve been out with my wonderful friend, Shaila, who was kind enough to take my author photos.

Fannette Island – Research for The Tenth House
Fannette Island
During The Tenth House, Ciara visits many places, both real and fictional, in the northern Nevada area. One of those locations is Fannette Island.
I researched a lot of locations that I thought I could weave into Ciara’s story. I love Lake Tahoe, everything about it. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to in my life. It’s a place that’s beautiful any time of year, and somewhere I’ll never get tired of seeing.

The Road So Far
I Always Want to Write
I’ve wanted to write all my life. So I have. I’ve written short stories, screenplays, and poetry. Some of those have been seen by the public, two of my screenplays produced into short films. Others have been just for my eyes, or the eyes of family and friends. All my life I’ve written.
A story began to form in the back of my mind. Growing. Nagging. Asking to be told.

I’m excited to announce the cover reveal for my debut novel, The Tenth House. It’s book 1 in the Turn of the Zodiac series. I’m halfway through the final round of rewriting. Publication is coming soon!
I was perfectly content with running away from a life I no longer loved. Away from a city that haunts me. Until a Zodiac murdered one of my friends in front of me.

Why Zodiacs?
Why write about the Zodiacs? I’ve been getting that question a lot as I talk to more and more people about my first fantasy fiction series that I’m writing called Turn of the Zodiac. To me, the answer is simple. Why not?
People want to believe. Astrology has been around for centuries. People read their horoscopes; some genuinely care while others are just entertained. But people also look to their Zodiac signs to discover things they did or didn’t know about their personalities.
