Inspiration for Cloud Whispers
The daughter she gave away. The family she always wanted. The journey to redefine her fate….
I was inspired to write Cloud Whispers after experiencing a devastating motorcycle accident. One beautiful June afternoon, my husband and I were riding our motorcycle when a car appeared out of nowhere, barreling toward us. With a steady stream of traffic on all sides, there was nowhere to go to avoid collision. Panic assailed me as the car smashed into our motorcycle. My husband maneuvered the bike to avoid a T-bone hit, undoubtedly saving our lives. Even so, my right foot and leg sustained major injuries.
After every storm, there’s a rainbow. While recovering from the accident, I received ongoing bursts of story inspiration. Over the next several months, the plot for Cloud Whispers sprang to life.
After surviving this motorcycle accident and a house fire during the same time span, I transformed my life by examining old patterns, expectations, and beliefs and learned to tap into my intuition and creative abilities. This quest led me to study energy healing and become a Reiki Master. I also studied at the renowned Chopra Center, earning certification as a Primordial Sound Meditation instructor.
In Cloud Whispers, Katie Callahan is burdened with a long-held secret. When a twist of fate brings a second chance at motherhood, she knows the time has come to reveal the truth to her husband. She’s caught between joy and fear of her husband’s rejection of another man’s child. On the cusp of admitting the events of her past, she experiences a near-fatal motorcycle accident.
With her body trapped in a coma, Katie finds herself in the dreamlike space between Earth and the afterlife. Guided by her spirit guides and the soul of her beloved dog, she learns the life-changing power of intention and self-transformation. From her ethereal vantage-point, she watches as her loved ones work together to resolve long-held contentions and to connect the pieces of their broken hearts. Katie's only chance to transform her world means completing an impossible journey back to life. Back on Earth, her newfound knowledge must transcend time and space to help Katie achieve her greatest wish of all.
Cloud Whispers is a mind-expanding women’s fiction novel with a strong spiritual message. If you like headstrong heroines, heartwarming stories of family and forgiveness, and new age concepts, then you’ll love this empowering tale.

The Law of Attraction in Cloud Whispers
These days most people have heard of the Law of Attraction, the concept that we attract actions and experiences into our lives through our thoughts and vibrations. The Law of Attraction is built on the belief that the universe and everything in it is vibratory.
Like attracts like. If you put out positive vibrations, you’ll attract positivity into your life. If your thoughts and actions are negative, that’s what you’ll receive in return.
Sounds easy…right?
But if this is true, then why don’t we have everything we want? This question is contemplated in my new novel, Cloud Whispers:
“I don’t understand,” Katie said, wiping cloud wisps from her arm. “If it’s that easy, how come we can’t think things into being on Earth?”
“The vibrational concept works the same way on Earth,” Posie said. “You can think things into being.”
“Then how come everyone doesn’t have everything they want on Earth?” she asked, still not getting it.
“Sometimes it takes longer on Earth,” Black Eagle acknowledged. “It requires a greater faith, but it still works. That is, if you can overcome the greatest obstacle down there,” he said, waving a hand toward the blue-green ball rotating beneath them.
Katie’s brows knitted together. “What’s the greatest obstacle?”
“The mind.” Black Eagle tapped his index and middle finger on his temple.
Now she was completely confused. Her guides had just explained that she could think things into being. If that was the case, how could her mind be the greatest obstacle?
“I’ll show you.” Black Eagle rubbed his hands together as his expression turned gleeful. “Chair,” he said, snapping his fingers together.
A chair appeared in front of him.
“I ask for it and it’s delivered. Now granted, the pure love and positivity up here result in quicker manifestation of desires, but on Earth humans could get things a lot faster if they didn’t over think everything.” Black Eagle’s lips curled into an impish grin. “You see, I just thought ‘chair.’ ‘I need a chair.’ I didn’t flip-flop, consider whether I deserved the chair, if I could afford the chair, or if a loveseat would really be better.” He glanced at his backside. “I didn’t wonder if this particular chair would make my butt look big.”
Katie snickered, thinking about the many times she’d wondered the same thing about a dress or a pair of jeans.
“I simply asked for a chair and got a chair. When you ask for something the universe begins its work to deliver that request to you. If you start questioning it, the universe hears, ‘I don’t know if I want this,’ ‘I might not really need this,’ or ‘I don’t deserve this,’ Black Eagle said. “You must be clear and consistent with your request and believe it will manifest. If you do so, you will receive. It’s universal law.”
