NanoWrimo

Anyone else doing Nano this year? I'll be working on "Peril," a story set in the same world as my upcoming YA fantasy series, The Traitor's War.

"Peril" involves a kidnapping, a prince in pursuit, and twisted monsters on an island. Oh, and of course - buccaneers and tall ships.

If you're participating in Nano this year, what is your project? What are you working on?

The Editing Phase

Hey everyone, just a quick note. I am editing Clandestine, first in the Traitors' War series. So far, so good.

Hope to be done by the end of October, and then it will go to my editor in November or December.

Spin Is In the House!

Literally - I have a big box of trade paperbacks in my office! It's available as a paperback and e-book on Amazon, as well.

It feels surreal to have the trilogy all finished and sitting on my shelf. They look beautiful together 💖📚

So what's next? The Traitors' War series. For more information, check out my Instagram page.

Stay safe out there. Use common sense and be nice - we're all in it together.

Spin Is Coming!

Hey everyone, ARCS of Spin have been ordered! They should arrive next Tuesday (the 11th). For those who want to add it to their reading lists, it's now up on Goodreads. I'm not sure of a release date yet, as our spring is busy, but I will have that up soon as well.

Happy Autumn!

Hey lovelies, today is the first official day of fall! Has the weather turned more fall-like where you live? It's in the high sixties here today in west Michigan. Any big plans today?

I'm hoping to work some on the rewrite of Spin, the third and final Flying Ponies book. The first version of it had all kinds of wild things happening, but unfortunately, most of them didn't help the story much. The second version is better-aligned with the first two books.

What are your plans for the fall season? How many books do you hope to read? I'm reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and The Return of the King right now. I often read two books at the same time.

Have a blessed day!

Clandestine

I finished the first book in the Traitors' War yesterday. This is my next series to be released after I finish the Flying Ponies trilogy.

Not much else to add - just an update :-)

Rewriting!

I finished Spin, the third and final book in the Flying Ponies trilogy, earlier this summer. After giving it time to sit, and talking with my beta readers, I've determined it's not where it should be, and am taking time to rewrite it.

We are still pushing for a spring release, hopefully in March or April.

After that, I will start releasing books in my Traitors' War series, a political-type fantasy with an underground magical movement and the young people caught up in the movement and the impending war. The first chapter of "Clandestine" will be released in the back of Spin.

Getting There

I am almost recovered from my fall back on February 21. I have one stubborn spot in my incision that doesn't want to close; hopefully it will be by this coming Thursday, and I will be able to walk and drive. I'm also just about halfway through Spin, the third and final book in my Flying Ponies trilogy. It's going well. The characters have done some neat things. It will be a good and appropriate ending.

And then what? Start the next book - Fierce, first in the Traitors' War series. More information coming as I get to it, but picture this: assassins, royals, political turmoil between kingdoms, and an ancient order of magic users seeking to topple the kingdoms who tried to wipe their kind out years ago.

Hope you have a wonderful week, whether you're writing, reading, or both.
