I've had this happen to me a few times, and it's always left me wondering, "What on earth...?"
Female friendships are like minefields. One wrong step, and BOOM! Which is why I like exploring their complex dynamics in my books. Both 'A Quiet Dissonance' and 'Intersections' deals with the multiple hues of female bonding. The links that are strong enough to withstand anything, yet weak enough to collapse without reason.
