Toxic Relationships
Most of us know someone who is/has been in an abusive relationship. When the abuse is physical, a woman often feels the need to hide the signs from family and friends.
What fascinates me about emotional abuse is that the woman doesn't hide the signs of abuse from outsiders, she hides them from herself.
This was the inspiration for Aoife, the main character in my thriller 'Girl Targeted'.
