“The Trial Show” scores high in another contest.
I am excited to announce that “The Trial Show: The Resistance Rises” made it to the quarter-finals of the Wiki Screenplay Contest, in the ‘Best Screenplay’ category. A huge thank you to the judges and congratulations to the winners. I will keep improving my craft, hoping I’ll get a higher place next time.
If you’d like to read the story, “The Trial Show: The Resistance Rises” is also a book. You can find it here:

Attacked by a fellow author
An unfortunate story has been unraveling this past week. It all started when I reviewed a book that I did not like, so I left a 1-star review. The author then proceeded to go on Amazon and Goodreads and leave 1-star reviews under my own book from different accounts or their friends’ accounts, I do not know.
At first, I tried to be diplomatic on Twitter:

Then a bunch of 1-star ratings kept appearing on the same day, so I tweeted again, protecting the people’s identities.

I knew these people had never read my books. If you publish on KDP you know exactly how I know.

I knew exactly who that person was, but I didn’t want to engage directly, so, in an attempt to be subtle in telling them “I know who you are. I see you. What do you think you will accomplish?” I posted my review of their book on Goodreads as well. This appeared to enrage them, and new 1-star, unsubstantiated reviews started appearing under all of my books. They even went so far as revealing my true name under one of the reviews, which I reported to Amazon but they declined to remove it. Not all of them, mind you, just the one with my personal info. I do not have a problem with bad ratings, as long as they are honest, and I left the rest of them alone even though they came from the same source.
Naturally, because I am a person, I decided “screw it,” and went public, first on Twitter, and now here.
These are the unverified reviews under both of my books on Amazon from the same two people on the same days. The first one is from that author (Erica M.), and they even use the same wording in some places if you notice, like they could not bother to come up with something else.

Then this is the review one of these accounts left under my book on Goodreads:

Which is the exact same review I gave their book on Amazon:

And then there is this person who claims I gave them a free copy of my book for “networking” which, of course, I did not. I have never heard of them.

Of course, let’s not forget this person, who has an account solely to review my books and the one from his friend. They even reviewed an anthology in which I have published a short story and which has been out of print for years.

And if you need further proof, below is a list of people that left TODAY a 1-star review under a novel I unpublished 2 YEARS AGO, and therefore there is no chance they got their hands on a copy.

If you notice, most of these accounts have zero to one review, which means they did not exist before being created to “review” my book.
All of these are exactly the same accounts that left 1-star reviews under my 2 other novels, both professionally edited, one of them by the publisher Limitless Publishing, even though some of the “reviewers” claim that I have not taken advantage of the creators in the industry to help me (???).
So, finally, a shout-out to author Erica Blaque and her integrity and ability to accept criticism. I hope Aevitas Creative Management who she states as her agents on her Instagram account are proud of their client.

My interview with Lisa Haselton is out today on her website. Have a look!
A huge thank you to Lisa for letting me work with her.
Excerpt:
“
Welcome, Konstantina. Please tell us about your current release.
The Trial Show is the first book in the “Resistance” series. It comes after three years of hard work since, as it is self-published, I had to do pretty much everything myself until it reached the final stage and was ready for the editors and designers. I can say that it is my favorite amongst the stories I’ve written so far, because it includes some unsubtle comments about today’s society and how it revolves around the media.
The story also comes with an award under its belt! It was an “Official Coronet Selection” at the “Queen Palm International Film Festival,” in the “Best Feature Script” category.

Forced into the shadows while waging war on an oppressive regime intent on controlling those born with unnatural powers, the Resistance feels like a family. And although all families harbour secrets, theirs are world-shattering.
When Ava Moore foresees the death of her sister Brooklyn and Resistance leader Parker Quinn is forced to appear in a televised trial accused of murder, the web of lies begins to unravel. For not only is Resistance’s second-in-command, Jay Frazer, fighting a guerrilla battle with deadly consequences, he’s also trying to bury his deep-seated love for Parker.
With Parker and Jay temporarily out of the picture, double-agent Trent Reese is left responsible for leading the Resistance. Trent is willing to adapt his moral code to any situation, but what—or whom—does he believe in? As for innocent Ava, who’s plagued by unsettling visions, it’s becoming clear that everyone she loves is in peril. Given, however, that Parker is concealing a mighty gift of his own, one that could change the entire course of the rebellion, the future of the all-seeing state is on the line too.
When the web of secrets is untangled, who will survive?

Praise for the novel:
“With Carver Wood, one of the Resistance’s very own, having been incarcerated and put on death row, and the Central Force desperately hunting down members of the Resistance, the leader of the Resistance, Parker Quinn, knew things were getting out of hand. Parker’s second in command, Jay, leads a mission to rescue Carver against Parker’s will, a mission that turns into a blood bath. Following the incident, Parker murders his girlfriend Brooklyn and surrenders himself to the authorities. Why does Parker murder his girlfriend? What is his fate after surrendering? With Jay currently nursing an injury from the failed mission, and Ava, Brooklyn’s sister and one of the Resistance’s most trusted, under the Central Force’s radar, is it the end of the Resistance? “Konstantina P. concocts a gripping plot in The Trial Show, her first installment in The Resistance Rises series. If you are looking for a mystery thriller laced with an unraveling tale of secrets, regrets, love, betrayal, pain, and so much more, you will absolutely love this book. Konstantina P. firmly embeds her sense of wit and sarcasm in her intense sentences. Her choice of words gives the story a professional touch. I loved how she used the first-person perspective, switching between the characters, in her exciting cast. This allowed me a wider scope of insight into the enthralling storyline. The author depicts scenes with remarkable emotional depth as well as making them impressively vivid. Konstantina P. wonderfully develops her characters, harnessing the power of introspection. Parker makes a lot of tough choices to protect his followers, but do they see things his way? I loved the book and I can’t wait to get my hands on the second installment.” – 5-star review by Readers’ Favorite
