Buy a book for the girls of the Lower East Side Girls Club!

You all know I source books for their lobby book cart and their literacy program. You have helped us give MORE THAN 300 books to their literacy program using the Amazon wish list below. THANK YOU.

Now, it's time for presents! For the girls in the literacy program (many of whom are reluctant and struggling readers) I updated the list with requests from the girls, plus fresh bestsellers and goodies off the Quick Picks lists and other reluctant reader resources.

Send a book for the holiday season. I love you for it.

A little more info:

The LES Girls Club club is stunning a huge new facility that offers art and career training, after school classes, physical education, roof garden activities, science lab, college application help, social work, travel opportunities, and more for the girls and young women in the community over on Avenue D.

If you don't see a favorite author or title, look on the right and click "Filter and Sort" -- it's possible it's not showing because it has already been sent to the girls! THANK YOU for your support of this awesome program and these great people.

I'm on episode 80 of the podcast So Many Damn Books. Its a great podcast;  I liked the Megan Abbot and Francine Prose episodes, especially.  Anyway, heres a photo of the cocktail the hosts made for me, plus the novel we discussed.

Listen here.

Genuine Fraud comes out Sept 5th, and the We Were Liars deluxe edition is in stores now. (It has all kinds of goodies in the back, including new love letters.)
I'll be touring this fall -- and doing events with some amazing authors.  I would love to see you there.

What are the events like?  You come, I chat, sometimes I chat with fellow authors. The other authors are listed below and they're all people I'm really excited to be doing events with. Possibly I'll  read just a tiny bit from Genuine Fraud, and I'll definitely tell you about the book.  We laugh, answer questions, there's a conversation. Then there's a book signing. You can bring your books from home but you should buy a book from the store if you can afford to, even if it's not mine, because bookstores depend on sales to keep hosting authors.  I'll sign all books, old or new.  You can come up for a photo and take a card or bookmark if you want a signature and can't afford a book at the moment -- no problem.  We can take photos together.  Chat a little more, maybe.  It's a relaxed and cheery time, fun to share with friends who love reading.   See you there!  xoE

March 7, 2017

My next book is GENUINE FRAUD, publishing in September 2017. Coming from Penguin Random House in the USA, Allen & Unwin in AU, and Hot Key in the UK and Ireland.  You can pre-order it in the USA, here

Imogen is a runaway heiress, an orphan, a cook, and a cheat.

Jule is a fighter, a social chameleon, and an athlete.

An intense friendship. A disappearance. A murder, or maybe two.

A bad romance, or maybe three.

Blunt objects, disguises, blood, and chocolate.

The American dream, superheroes, spies, and villains.

A girl who refuses to give people what they want from her.

A girl who refuses to be the person she once was.

And, I'm thrilled to announce the WE WERE LIARS DELUXE EDITION will be in stores May 23, 2017 in the USA.

It includes all-new love letters from Gat to Cadence, recipes, book club discussion questions, selections from the original book proposal, an essay by the author, teacher goodies, a nowhere-else seen sneak-peek at Genuine Fraud, and more.  All copies of the first printing are autographed and twenty special copies will be released signed with colored ink and rubber stamps.  Pre-order here.
