Books on Social Justice
As you may have guessed since I am the coauthor of a teen's social activism guide, I love both the written word and social justice. So I swooned when I came across this amazing list, and I have been shouting far and wide about it.
Please go check it out and support authors who are using their talents to spread kindness and love and justice into the world. We need more of that and more of them.
NNSTOY Social Justice Book List (from August 2017, so beautifully current): http://www.nnstoy.org/social-justice-...

Why I Wrote WWR
We wrote this book to lay out a path toward social activism for teens (and adults, too, of course) in hopes of empowering a generation to create the world they want to see. There seemed like no time to spare: a whole generation of people were getting fed up and walking away. Our country can't afford to lose them and their fresh ideas and powerful voices!
Our book has 128 concrete, well-researched actions to get teens involved in the issues they care about, as well as actions that set the groundwork for keeping young people tuned in even in these cynical times. As a former high school teacher, I love the thought of the book inspiring the creative, bright, optimistic qualities of teens.
