Time
‘In the beginning was the word,’ or, if you are a believer of the big-bang theory, in the beginning, was a cosmic explosion from which we all originated.
However, before either of those two occurrences, there was something else in existence.
It was Time. Without there being Time, neither event could have happened. No word could have been written, spoken or thought, and no explosion took place.
It was Time that introduced the solar system that we know, and it will be Time that will end it.
If you accept this premise then, to use a modern parlance, the rest of my discourse is a given!
Darwin argues that we evolved from a unicellular organism, an amoeba type creature, into what we are today. I personally disagree with that, but I will not discuss my beliefs here.
Suffice it to say that whether he is correct or Christianity is right, both required the unhindered assistance of Time.
I use the word, unhindered, deliberately, as Time could not care less how we, as humans, use it. Why should it?
What we do with the gift is our choice.
Time is omnipotent, eternal until it decides to end itself.
If you are about to argue that it will be a man who ends the world, I will not disagree, but Time will still exist!
No matter what we do we cannot change it in any way, shape or form. It is yesterday, today and tomorrow. It is perpetual.
The missing energy source that if bottled, would solve every problem ever created. It is not tangible though, but I would suggest that it’s not abstract.
We spend Time watching time pass.
There are two entities in Time. There is Time in perpetuity, and time the movement, that governs all.
Time creates, as it does destroy. It has power over our very thoughts and purpose. The forever asked question; “is there enough time?” Answered by,“I wish there was!” But there is.
Only it’s not there for us. It is there for Time to use, as it alone decides.
Man invented a clock as a way of measuring and regulating time.
But Time does not recognise that system of quantification, why would it?
It has no need to calculate, as it had no need to begin, and as far as an end product is concerned, why would it have one?
We both love and despises the movement of time. We blame it for passing slowly, or quickly depending on the circumstances, then praise it for the same reasons.
Seldom do we notice Time, the creator.
Time is good. Time is bad.
So, what’s my point in this? I cannot provide you with any clues as to its source, but can you see an analogy here, a comparison with belief?
In the Scriptures, believed by some, God sent his only Son to earth to die for our sins. When God’s son was here he was abused. He still is!
Could Time and God be the same? Could time be Jesus Christ? Could the Bible be an early philosophers dream?
I hope I have sown many questions into your mind.
It’s a great thing to have time to ask such things and an equally great thing to be allowed by Time to ponder.

Selfish Pursuits
Selfish Pursuits
There was a dying man on the ground with his eyes to the sky.
His wife knelt beside him with tears of sorrow ready to cry.
Time had travelled past them eroding away their roots,
As mankind was absorbed in purely selfish pursuits.
An old woman now stands alone unable to carry on.
A radio blasts from a car with a deafening song.
Never ending traffic take the breath from her lungs,
As children run past with foul swearing tongues.
Another age has just died and past backward into time.
A newer one pushes forward eager to be the first in line.
Old values are abandoned along with old-fashioned truths,
As mankind is absorbed in purely selfish pursuits.

Judgement
I’ve heard that love holds no judgement
Which leaves the world as a very sad place
As we judge on what is the obvious
Religion, wealth, and race.
Blame is cast before asking questions
Guilt is carried by the colour of the face
Judgement is for fools and their version of misery
As love waits for a moment of grace.
Understanding is the prize that waits in the shadows
But like any prize, it comes with a cost.
Dignity died when compassion was forgotten
And the tears of love were spilled and then lost.

At The Rainbow Of Tears
At the end of life, on the edge of time.
Where there’s no air to breathe and death walks the line,
There’s no reaction, all spirit is broke
There are only tubes on which the crawling choke.
The analysts are gone, nothing is explained.
The earth still spins but in blood, it’s stained.
The atmosphere is poisoned, the rain is dead.
The deceased lie naked, as disease is spread.
Agony screams loudly, it deafens as it shakes.
Tissue combines with organs in the air as flakes.
And there on the edge where time disappears
There is only the suffering at the rainbow of tears.
Gold in the teeth shine brightly as bodies decompose
The colour of hell is as white as the snows.
At the end of life, on the edge of time,
Death is your Saviour, death is sublime.

Time
Time
If your alarm hadn't sounded and the time was now nine,
Should you still be in bed or somewhere else at that time?
But if clocks didn't exist to tell the time left in a day,
Then a day could be a year and for a year we could play.
But if you have time on your hands or no time to spare,
I hope you find time for that summertime stare.
But if you’ve no time to stare whilst on the move
Could you ask time to slow so in time you can improve?
But no, time has no master. It doesn’t answer to you.
It acts how it likes and never waits in a queue.
There’s only one thing of time of which we can be sure.
That’s when your time is over it won’t give you any more.

A Question
The eyes were open and the ears could hear,
But no one could figure it out.
But when the eyes were shut and the ears were closed,
No one had any doubt.
Secrets and lies we must hide from view
That’s the way life teaches us to be.
But if time stood still when the truth was told
Then we may have found the key
What if time never moved, but you did move
Circling the truth and the lies?
Could that become your moment of truth
Or would the truth be what you despise?
Heaven, Hell, are they places to go,
Or are they both where we have been?
What if you visited both with your eyes firmly closed,
And it’s only the present that is ever seen?
Who told the lies? Who could discover any truth
If the senses were never used?
No one knows the real purpose of life,
As the truth is always abused.

Twelve Keys
Long hues of shadows in areas that shade
Life comes from the darkness where anger is made
There’s a commitment to death as a way to end time
But then time is perpetual where love is no crime.
Don’t read the words as they first appear
Seldom in life are words honest and clear.
I could take you to where all words are true
But only if love has touched the heart in you.
Parables are stories with a story inside
Ingenuous exposition but are any lies?
The understanding of secrets is not what you need.
The declaration of innocence is how you’ll be freed.

The Seasons
The Seasons
As seasons pass and slip away,
So does life in a similar way.
Changing seasons entombed in time,
That mirror the life of both yours and mine.

A Tear In Time
A second ticked by and not a lot had occurred,
The minute hand moved, and a voice was heard.
It spoke softly of love with pity and grace,
It promised to change this earth into a far different place.
But soon the hour passed and faith was held back.
Disbelief had entered and begun its attack.
Time travelled on and soon envy controlled all,
Until the closing of a day, and a tear it did fall.
It flows today as a sacrifice for sin,
Offering a way out; of the hell we are in.
At Christmas, that tear flows for all to embrace
Not just Christians, but the whole human race.
