New Historical Humour Book in the Works
It's been a busy summer, editing my new upcoming book Knights of the Roundish Table.
Where The Scarlet Forest: A Tale of Robin Hood is a historical novel, and Questionable Quizzes is humour, Knights of the Roundish Table will blend both genres.
Knights of the Roundish Table takes inspiration from Arthurian literature throughout the medieval period, and makes history hilarious. The Green Knight, the Questing Beast, and the invading Germanic tribes of the post-Roman period all make appearances. King Xander and his allies face all of these foes and more in their quest to defend Britain, making the land safe for liberty, chivalry, and turnip-growing.
Knights of the Roundish Table will be released in a few months. Check it out and add it to your TBR list if history with humour is your thing.

Archaeological digs are happening at King John's Palace, King's Clipstone, actually the medieval royal hunting lodge at Sherwood Forest. Robin Hood author and historian A. E. Chandler tours the standing ruins, which actually date from the reign of King Edward I Longshanks, John's grandson.

To help you make informed decisions about wildlife tourism activities in Africa, this video covers the captive lion industry. This was originally filmed in March 2020. As of March 2022 South Africa has said that it intends to put an end to its captive lion industry. What this looks like for those lions, we don’t yet know, and there are still more countries the world over involved in the lion industry. Bottle-feeding, cub petting, and lion walks can end in trophy hunting, health neglect, and the bone trade. Some lions are lucky, unfortunately many are not. Be aware before you travel.
