The Passing of a Literary Icon - Victor J Banis

I knew Victor J. Banis Victor was gravey ill, as I have followed his postings and comments via Facebook for years, "liking" most and from time to time, actually commenting on his wry sense of humor, his neverending words of wisdom, to more recently in the past couple of years offering words of empathy, prayer, and encouragement last year when he began suffering the worst effects of his cancer diagnosis. I always found him witty as hell, often self-reflective--not all generous and kind, I might add--possessed with a dry sense of humor which made me laugh often. I will miss that the most.

Yesterday, the literary world lost one of the greatest trailblazing, influencial writers of gay fiction of our time.

I am linking this great feature of author, Victor J. Banis, published by Out.com a few years ago that sums up to that point the life, and legacy, of an astonishing man.

'I'm the most famous writer nobody's ever heard of.' - Victor J. Banis
