Time in the Storm
Sometimes things happen that rock our world. We’ve all had them — the things that come out of nowhere, with no “return” tag. The things that change the way we look at everything. That change the way we go from day-to-day. They change what we do, say, and even think. They change how we live our lives. They change us.
And of course, they make us — think.
Last week, “was it only last week?”
“yes”
“wow. it feels more like forever”
“i know. shhh, just keep praying”

My eyelids lay heavily over my sore eyes. I can feel my body, tossed onto the ground. An elbow, a calf, fingers, back, neck — blood.
Alone.
I wonder what has woken me, and with difficulty slowly pe...

A favorite part of the weekend was getting to meet one of my favorite authors Chuck Black! If you guys haven’t read his books you’re really missing out! The Star Under The City is now LIVE!!
Back in October 2016 when I first began gathering ideas for this story I had no idea I would actually publish a book! Of course it was always a dream, but also seamed to be in the far and distant future like a fairy tale.

I was recently looking through the blue notebook with my first ideas, little sketches, and midnight jot-downs. It was a blast to read two or three different climax ideas and then look at the finished story!

All through NaNo I worked to be on time with my word count, still...

Editing!
So….I keep hearing that everyone is supposed to hate editing. I must have missed the boat or something. Yeah, I’ll admit, it can be super slow…………….but for some reason, as long as I know what to do, I enjoy it!
I’m sure one of the reasons I still like it is because of the amazing help and encouragement I have gotten from friends and family.

A Writer On The Road
A Writer On the Road
Hi guys! Sorry I missed two weeks. I went with some of my family to visit my awesome cousins in the mountains above High Rolls New Mexico for a week and had an absolute blast! I got to drive many hours of the trip and did a fantastic job. (Don’t know why mom kept screaming…) ;P[image error]
I don’t know about you all, but I can’t go anywhere without keeping a high alert for story characters — a little girl following her daddy into a gas station, a teenage boy late for work at your...

I Did NaNoWriMo!
As you may already know, last year I heard about the National Novel Writing Month, and at the last minute I decided to participate. The infectious excitement spilling from Anna and Paul Willis compelled me to try it out and I am so glad I did! With only three days before November 1st we even talked my brother Malachi into doing it too which made it awesome!![image error]
The whole process was a complete blast! I loved the team spirit that NaNo provides and ‘met’ some fantastic people! The NaNo Mail was su...

A Poem: Forgiven By The Conqueror
This weekend is the time when we remember the most important act in the history of the world. When Jesus Christ gave his life to save our souls and three days later rose from the dead to reign forever! Praise His holy name!!!
Here’s a poem for Good Friday from Peter’s perspective that I hope will remind each of us the amazing we gift we have in the redemption that comes through Christ! ❤
The room was cold and empty,
Though we all were there.
I didn’t see those ‘round me,
As I stared into the...
