Editing

I have two weeks to turn round the developmental edits on the new Izzy Bromley book. I also have brain fog due to a horrid cold. (See loo roll!)

New week ~ new mindset

I sat at my desk this morning and opened my manuscript as I do every morning. But today I felt something was out of place.

So I’ve taken myself outside to find it. (The sky has gone very grey though. I might be in gir a soaking!! )

Writing on the move.

People often tell me that being a writer must mean that I can work anywhere. I think they mean a hut on a tropical beach or maybe a wooden lodge by a shimmering lake somewhere.

In reality, it’s more likely to be the train to Dewsbury, as I am doing today!

I’m a huge fan of change. I suppose I must have a very short attention span! Anyway, my office has been dark blue for five years. It’s time for something new.

I fancy pink. All I have to do is decide which one!

Super-simple September

My life has been really busy for a few months now but I think I need to slow things down. When you’re so busy there isn’t time to do the basics and that makes me feel panicky and out of control.

So, this month I’m going to keep things simple and get back to basics. Let’s see how that goes!

Broken things.

I’ve been in Zagreb, the Croatian capital for a day or two and I visited The Museum of Broken Relationships.

Some of the stories were funny- in a dark way. Some of them were very difficult to read.

Picasso in Malaga

We were in Malaga with time on our hands so we went to the Picasso museum.
It’s a bit of a mixed bag with little familiar amongst the pieces on display but I loved this owl. I’d love him for my writing room!
