Crime Thriller Promotion

Here is a chance to grab yourself a copy of some thrillers in the Crime Thriller Promotion. Fundamentally, this is an opportunity to get some free books in the crime thriller genre – but it is only around until October 1. After that date, everything turns back to pumpkins–apart from The Broska Bruiser which will be available on my website… You get the idea.

Editing Casino Chiseler

old typewriter on the table

This last week I have been battling the final part of my edit of Casino Chiseler. I only have a handful of days to get the job done and uploaded before the deadline arrives for its September 30 release and usually I get this task completed weeks beforehand.

Perhaps because of the proximity of the date, I have been freezing in front of my screen, seemingly incapable of dealing with the simple task of reading through and spotting any final typos. But you can be certain that I will get the chapters checked in time for the release.

As a reminder, we now will find Alex in the middle of the 1940s as Benny Siegel opens up Las Vegas to organized crime gambling. It’s a rollercoaster ride of a read and you can pre-order your copy either on my website or at your preferred ebook vendor. More details at the end of the month…

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Almost every novel I have written has been set in the US and in the past, so you shouldn’t be too surprised to hear that I’d like to let you know about a promotion covering US Historical Fiction. It’s my genre, for sure.

Pulp Fiction

A couple of weeks ago, I went to a drive-in performance of the film Pulp Fiction–some of it was still great and other parts had really dated, especially in a post-BLM universe. I mention this because there is a Pulp Fiction novel opportunity for you running this month which contains some fabulous tales, none of which have dated.

East Side Success

Hi

Like many in the UK, I have gone back to my place of work this week, which has been a mask-wearing shock. My first world problems are not the subject of this post, but I didn’t want to ignore what is happening in our world even if I do write about fictional times in the past before the Covid-19 situation grabbed our attention and so many lives.

Instead, I just wait to share some good news about East Side Hustler. I am pleased to let you know that this week it became an Amazon Bestseller in Canada for Historical Thrillers and an Amazon Bestseller in Australia for Jewish Literature. Thank you to all those of you who have been kind enough to buy a copy. I truly appreciate your support.

I’ve started writing book 5, Cuban Heel and will be launching book 4, Casino Chiseler on September 30 – you can order your copy now either from my website or at the usual fine sales outlets.

There’s some wind afoot

Another great opportunity for those who like a contemporary feel to their thrills. Here we have The Windtaker by Grace J Gray. As ever, the blurb will do all the talking that’s needed for this novel…

When a woman on a highly popular podcast known as “Freaks Set Free” claims that Anthony Douglas wrongly accused and incarcerated a serial killer nicknamed The Windtaker, no one listens. Suddenly though, the same patterns of murder at the same University start up again four years after the killer has been put in prison.

Anthony and June have their hand forced in reopening the case of a known serial killer, as the bodies starting stacking up. The woman who is behind the podcast that broke the conspiracy is helping them turn over new clues and track down the real killer before someone else loses their life.

No one can rest until the truth is fully known, but in this cat and mouse game – no one is safe, and someone might end up paying the ultimate price!

Cuba

Vintage Keyboard

I started writing Cuban Heel two days ago having wrestled with the storyline for the past couple of weeks. Without wishing to get into the detail of the plot, there is a revolution that I am finding quite a challenge to put into words. And it’s not THAT revolution–there were turbulent times in the country before Castro demanded change.

What I didn’t realise until I researched the country was that it was one of the most prosperous in the world in, say, 1952 and the fertilizer hit the air conditioning later on. The other thing I knew little of was the extent to which US organized crime was involved in foreign investments to the country. That said, my sole knowledge of the history of the country comes from watching Godfather Part 2, so not the greatest guide in the world, albeit one of the best gangster films ever made.

Thrilling short stories to grab

Here are a couple of promos by Amy Ross in the same series…

Strange Vice book 7, a collection of thriller short stories. Here’s its blurb:

Sometimes Edward feels like Batman. His job at the secret agency demands that he saves the city of Boston regularly.

But lately, he has been slacking at his job with his pursuit of the serial killer ravaging through the streets of Boston.

Strange Vice tells the story of evil clashing with justice.

And there is also Vindictive Murder book 5.

Someone is piling up bodies in Eugene and making the authorities believe they have been killed by different killers, but there is more to the deaths than the security knows.

Old Benny was found dead in his living room. He was gruesomely murdered.

To them, they were looking for just another murderer. However, old Benny’s death signaled there was a serial killer on the loose in Eugene; he was out for both old and new bloods.

Old Benny was his fourth victim in  two months. Too bad the police didn’t know this, but someone has been watching; someone who chose to remain unnamed.  This time he must save a young boy and his single mother from the hands of the badge and gun.

Fall into Historical Fiction

For those who like their novels to be fictional and based in a non-contemporary setting, have I got the opportunity for you? It is called Fall into Historical Fiction, and runs until September 11. It is a fine selection of tales from the past and I heartily recommend them to one and all.
