A preorder link and blurb for ADVANCED PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY

Picture Book three goes to my trusty editor on Thursday, but in the meantime, I've got a live preorder link and a blurb to share with you:

One month of fun with no feelings. That was the plan.

After a run of bad luck, chemical engineer Penny Popplestone swears off men until she can figure out why they keep cheating on her. Which is—of course—when the superhumanly hot barista at her favorite coffee shop kisses her out of the blue.

It seems too good to be true because it is: Caleb’s moving out of st...

Book three...coming March 16, 2018

Picture Good news! I finally have an official release date for the next book in my Chemistry Lessons series, Advanced Physical Chemistry: March 16.

I don't have a blurb yet, but I can tell you it will feature a plus-size chemical engineer heroine, a hottie barista who (spoiler alert!) falls in love with her, and cameos from some favorite characters from the first two books.

The cover reveal won't be until be next month, but I just got the draft back from my designer and I love it so freaking much...

Shut the front door

The heroine in Advanced Physical Chemistry doesn't swear, and I'm pretty sure this is the most I've ever had to stretch myself as a writer. I've gotten into the heads of superheroes, time travelers, geniuses, criminals, and historical figures in my writing with no problem. But a character who doesn't curse? That's the one who's turning out to be hard for me to relate to.

It is pretty fun coming up with non-swear alternatives, though. I may adopt some of them in real life and clean up my potty...

Warmest holiday wishes...

Picture As I embark on my annual holiday baking extravaganza in preparation for the houseguests arriving at Casa Nix on Christmas Eve, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for being here.

This has been a big year for me. Not only did I fulfill a dream twenty years in the making by joining the ranks of published authors, but the response to my first two books has exceeded my wildest dreams. And I owe that in part to you.

I'm so happy to have you on this journey with me. I hope your year has been...

Happy Monday, lovelies!

I've spent most of the day locked in my writing cave working on Advanced Physical Chemistry, and I'm starting to get really excited about this book! Usually, I go through three distinct phases while writing a book:
Excitement at starting a new projectA whole lotta "everything sucks, please kill me"Excitement again when it all starts coming together finally
We're officially back in excitement again, and that's cause for celebration! Woo hoo! Picture

I can almost taste the finish line

I'm back in the writing saddle again working on Advanced Physical Chemistry after taking Thanksgiving week off to spend time with my houseguests.

I was feeling a little burned out on this story, so it was good to have a break from it. But now it's time to buckle down and finish this thing. I'm 55,000 words into the first draft, so I can almost taste the finish line from here.

Who's excited to read about chemical engineer Penny and her mysterious barista beau? Picture

INTERMEDIATE THERMODYNAMICS is live!

Picture Intermediate Thermodynamics is out today! OMG!!! I'm so excited for everyone to read this book. It’s an enemies-to-lovers romance packed with feels, LOLs, and sexual tension.

AND it stands alone if you haven’t read the first book in the “Chemistry Lessons” series (although fans of Remedial Rocket Science will be happy about some of the cameos that pop up).

I think you’re going to love Esther. She’s smart, snarky, and flawed, with a big heart hidden underneath her prickly exterior. In keeping...
