A Few Things ...
Covers are coming!I have my covers loaded onto a post that will follow this one, but I wanted to make a few notes so you'd understand a few things.
1) This is a feeler post. I do have a favorite set here, but I'm also still coordinating with another designer on another option. Hearing some impressions will help me greatly, though. Remember anonymous commenting has been turned on. Anyone who'd prefer to email me their thoughts can do so here: 89fyrebyrd@gmail.com
2) Please look deep at the designs. The elements chosen are ones that, for me, mean something to the books. I'm not sure everything will be apparent with just a cursory glance, though I suppose it's possible.
3) The covers have to be chosen as a set. There's a progression in the designs, and in particular a darker to lighter aspect, as I think book 1 is the heaviest, even though we still face the sick little boy later.
4) The text on covers 2 and 3 in all sets is still subject to change, as this was spur of the moment wording to create the designs, and even varies through the sets. Set 3's coloring for font is set, but finding the perfect one has been elusive, therefore it's paused here as I'd like some thoughts before investing more time--in any of them.
Thanks ahead of time for anyone who takes the time to respond, and I hope you like the direction I've taken. Naked man chest is soooo not my thing :P

Antsy Author
Can you be of assistance?Hello, everyone! I'm working diligently on the Sharp Turn Series, and I can say that book 1 is very close to being finished.
I often find myself wondering how it can be the same but oh do very different. And it is--different that is. I've changed and added and deleted and reworked and reworded almost every line it feels like, though the core of what the story was about will not change. I've not only reworked some characters, but I've also added completely new ones. And names! Let's not forget those. Gahhh, I can't wait to see if you like them!
Now, onto something else.
Covers!
I've been driving myself mad, mostly because I'm picky, but also because I want it to mean something to the book(s). So I was wondering ...
If I were to make a blog post, in the future, that included possible options, would you give me opinions? Of course, in my mind, I have to love all 3 before I can decide--and I'm currently sitting on 9 options ... that is 3 sets of covers, each set has one cover for each book.
I'm going to enable anonymous comments because I want to hear thoughts, and everyone may not already have an account ... but please remember, if you're rude, I'm ruder.
I hope you guys are doing great, and right here is where all things Sharp Turn Series will be announced first!
XOXO

Sharp Turn Series
ANNOUNCEMENT!
I would like to share here, first and exclusively for right now, that Sharp Left Turn is being re-written and will become a 3 book series. Sharp Left Turn, Sharp Right Turn and Final Sharp Turn.
Now, there's a couple things I want you to know.
1) The original was 175k, which would take about 800 pages to translate to one book. This is a large factor in my decision-making process.
2) No, I'm not trying to "bleed you for money," but as I've been working on it, so far, it has grown even more. At 3 books, each will still be at least 60k, which is a full-sized book, not a novella.
3) Not only will it have new names and setting, but there are new characters and scenes as well as more articulate emotions, I think, at least. I won't be pulling the original as it is exactly what it needed to be for it's platform. I'm simply recreating it now for a new platform, and the overall story plot remains, but the details will be altered, sometimes heavily.
4) I'm excited about the work that's been done, and I hope I can make it something worth paying for. When I release them, they will be in roughly 30 day increments, and hopefully I can get the first one out by mid October. More info to come as the time draws closer.
Have a great day, everyone :)

The Death Fields
Time to Pay It Forward!
I've had the incredible opportunity to be a part of this fantastic series from the beginning. The Death Fields is a 6 book series that will keep you on the edge of your seat, while also offering that simmering love story throughout.
Yes, it's dystopian. Yes, it has zombies, but Angel presents that part of the story in a way which is realistic and complicated and important. This isn't a world where Alex, our heroine, is just fighting zombies, no, she's unraveling how they came to be and what part her own family played.
It'd be a tragedy of I didn't mention Wyatt and Cole. Though Alex finds her true HEA with one of these guys, both will grab your heart. The development between this leading trio is realistic and has you choosing a favorite, but by the end of the series you'll be so attached that you'll want to see the other reach his true potential too.
Give them a try!Book 1 of The Death Fields --The Girl Who Shot First is only 99 cents! Try it with the link below :)

Welcome!
I'd like to begin this blog with a little about myself.
First of all, I like purple, pink and all colors in between :)
Faye Byrd is tiny blue dot in the red Deep South. She lives in a small town with her husband of almost twenty-five years and a couple pit bulls. Aside from writing, her other time is mostly spent with her only grandchild, spoiling him rotten then sending him back to his mama.
Reading has always brought her joy, but it's only through the incredible imagination of Stephenie Meyer that her own passion was able to burst forth. Her writing roots were only a tiny seed when she entered the Twilight fandom as a reader, but over the years, the seed has taken root and spread into a sprawling tree. She loves to create distinct characters in a wide array of settings and doesn't ever want to limit herself by a genre.
Though her debut novel is set in the Wild West, she has many more worlds left to share with her readers. The common thread through all her writing is love.
My debut novel is Wanted Dead or Alive by Faye Byrd, an it is available on Amazon.
“How’d ya get that wound, Nathan?” she asks, brow raised.
“Ran into some trouble ‘bout a day’s ride from here,” I respond truthfully. “But don’t worry, the other guy didn’t make it.” I smirk. She may not need a know all my business, but I don’t want her thinking I can’t be dangerous.
At seventeen, Nathan King’s living a hard but proud life with his ma and pa on the family farm. One fateful day, it all comes crumbling down, and he’s only got two paths in front of him. Right and wrong. The six-year journey that follows makes him infamous, but it’s his run in with Josephine Hess that teaches him the true meaning of life. Together, they travel the West, assisting those in need, all the while trying to stay one step ahead of those looking to take ‘em in.
