Stop the Pain & Wait for the Gain!

Pain is your nervous systems way of alerting you to a problem. When we feel pain, a normal response is to instantly  turn away from whatever is causing the pain. Now, imagine if we applied that in relationships. Why don't we instantly turn away from painful relationships? We make excuses and endure the pain of a relationship all to the detriment of our health, livelihood and inner peace. We stay because we fear being alone. But, there's nothing lonelier than being in an unfulfilling relationship. We stay to prove a point and only end up proving that we should've let go a long time ago. We stay for a myriad of reasons other than happiness.

Holding onto a bad relationship is the equivalent of holding onto a scalding hot pot...Senseless!

Be Real

Grow up! Men/Women aren't toys you can pick up and play with when you're bored or lonely. They're not to be conquered, but cherished. They're not to be used, but to be loved and appreciated. The only thing in life that can never be taken away from us is our word! If you're word is not your bond, then you're a person of no value!

I don't know about anyone else, but I won't take anything less than the realness I give! If you're my friend, keep it real. If you're a lover, keep it real. If you're family by blood or love, keep it real with me. Whatever place you're trying to hold or think you hold in my life, keep it real with me! Cause I've always and will always keep it real with you!

Respect me enough not to lie to me! Love me enough to not play games! Love yourself enough to show integrity! If you can't, just walk away!

Live and Learn

A painful past can be hard to forget. We hold on unconsciously waiting for the apology that we may never receive. At some point, we must make a decision to let go. Letting go doesn't mean that our pain doesn't count. Holding onto the pain won't make the pain go away. You do more damage to yourself by holding on to the pain. Holding onto the pain is like trying to choke a snake with the hand he's already biting. You have to realize at some point that you and your inner peace is worth more. Forgive them without the apology and just move on. Move on for you, not for them! The pain is holding you hostage and it's time to break free! You have the power to thrive despite your past. Learn from it...Embrace the good and the bad...But, Live in the Present!
