I have returned to KU
After a two month absence, I've decided to return my books to the Kindle Unlimited program, in the hopes that whatever it was that was screwing people over has since been fixed. I'm also hoping that the fighting between the two management groups at KDP (which is obvious from the outside now) has finally been resolved.
Financially, it was a bit of a wash. Less sales, but higher returns per sale (because I'm getting full royalties on everything). But there were a lot of readers who were hurt who wrote me and told me that they were on a fixed income and couldn't afford to buy lots of books.
That later complaint was the reason I went back. As I said, financially I was doing the same out of the program as in, but I -really- would rather sell to all of those folks who've been with me up until now, but seem to be dependent on the KU program.
So wish me luck, and hopefully I won't get caught up in any of the screwy stuff.
Prayers would also be appreciated!

Next audio book should be out 9/25
The next pair of books (7 & 8) should come out as an audio book on September 25th. That's the date I've been told.
Valens #10 is currently in progress, it's just taking a little longer because I'm in the middle of a move.
Hopefully there will be a Wives Tales #2 soon as well.

Yeah, someone copied me.
I guess it had to happen sooner or later, but someone decided to violate my copyright. Currently I've got a lawyer and we're going the whole C&D route and may have to file suit against Amazon, who so far, hasn't told us the real name of the person infringing on my copyright so we can go after them directly.
This is neither a fun nor cheap process, and yes, it has gotten in the way of my writing, more than once. Dealing with legal issues and lawyers is quite time consuming.
Under advice of my attorney, I can't mention the name of the infringer or the name of the work. Not that I suspect any of you would have a hard time figuring it out. If you should figure it out and you actually know the real name and identity of the person responsible, I'd love to hear it, so I can forward that to my lawyers, (and yes, I've got more than one involved in this, did I mention it was expensive).
Oh, and Valens #9 should be out the 13th of this month. Sorry for the delay, but again, dealing with crap like this never helps.

Valens #8 is now out
Just a note to those who may not have gotten notified, book #8 is now out. The audiobook for books #4 & 5 will be coming out June 26th. No word yet for the audio versions of 7 & 8.

Valens Book #7 is out!!
Thanks to a glitch in Amazon's system, all of the books published between 4/20 and 4/23 aren't getting the usual promotion that we depend on from Amazon.
So, Book #7 is out. If you're a fan of the series, please buy it and if you like it, please rate it. Amazon isn't showing it to anyone right now (and this error won't get fixed until after Monday when there's someone there to read all the emails being sent now that we've all discovered this glitch).
And of course by Monday, the 'new published' book window has closed, so even after it's fixed, there won't be any promotion by Amazon. So if you want to keep reading the series, buy #7 and keep reading the series!
