Concerned author’s new novel about climate change
My new novel, ‘Zwonk,’ has climate change at its heart, and I wrote it with the deep conviction that nothing will change unless we all get our acts together.
‘Zwonk’ is all about an unlikely hero who seeks to counter the despair that many people feel about inaction over the multiple threats facing our planet and mankind in spite of the Paris Agreement and COPT26.
“I think it’s a book for almost everyone,” says Lamb. “It contains some big surprises, not least a secret weapon to to make the powers that be sit up and take notice of our plight if nothing is done to change things. It’s an antidote to sitting on our hands and saying how awful everything is.”
‘Zwonk’ is available as a paperback or e-book from Amazon on www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09J3PYCR9 or online bookshops.
Ted’s other book on an environmental theme, ‘Surge’, was published last year. It recalls a real disaster of Shakespeare’s age when a huge part of Gloucestershire and other counties disappeared underwater in a deadly tidal surge, some say tsunami, that took 2,000 lives. A repeat of this disaster could still threaten us today…
Ted is well-known as a fisherman, and is author of ‘The Penguin Book of Fishing’. Recent novels – ‘Brassribs’, about carp, ‘Looking for Lucie’ which tells of a fanatical search for a record pike, and ‘Gobblemouth’, a madcap road trip across Europe with a giant catfish – can also now be bought in a bumper edition, ‘The Brightwell Trilogy’.
Like ‘Zwonk’, all the above can be obtained from Amazon in paperback and e-book editions.
