Six Sentence Sunday: Blood Justice
So what if he took her body. It would matter not at all after her next chance to end his life. He’d promised three unmet attacks, but it would only take one more.
Love.
Sex.
Nothing more than the price of his life.
This Sunday my six are from Blood Royals 3: Blood Justice. Available June 4, 2012 with Liquid Silver Books.
ABOUT THE BOOK
After Sadaen tires of vengeance, he longs only for justice and redemption. He finds both in the arms of an angel determined to execute him. Lyna is convinced he deserves to die and she’ll do anything to bring him to justice, even if it means betraying everything she holds dear.
Despite their long history of combat he’s sure that only Lyna can offer him a future worthy of his past. He’ll either burn as the rogue demon he’s become or redeem himself through the flames of her passion. His only hope is to bind them together with a deal that could destroy them both.

Three Things Thursday: RH-Plus
3 things I've learned from watching.... RH-Plus
1. The ooops trifecta of mediocre writing, so-so acting and jarring pacing can still create a reasonably enjoyable show.
2. Too much angst is actually bad when not balanced with enough badass or humor. Watching this show really brought home the point to me. I love vampire angst. Normally I say you can't have enough. But really it has to either come with humor or rough fights to carry it off. Pure sensitive angst makes me sleepy.
3. A bit of funny cute story can overcome a lot. But really if I were to throw a couple fixes at this one...I would have teased a bit more with all those hunky boys living together. A touch of romance whether it comes with the girl who knows them or between the boys could have clinched this very well.
Overall I would rate this show a 3 of 5. With that in mind, I did enjoy the story and got to like the characters. The show focuses mostly on how they overcome loneliness to form a family. I really liked the tone of their family and how important it became to each of them. So I may not recommend watching the whole series, but will say take a little time to watch the first episode and decide for yourself.

Six Sentence Sunday: Blood Justice
Cool white light burst from her skin. Her wings found air, and her true form came forth.
Surging toward him, with the holy blade ready, she attacked.
Sadaen turned and caught her by the throat. With her blade sunk to the hilt, he held her trapped against his body while his blood seeped between them.
Captured and helpless, she could do nothing but stare into his fathomless gaze.

Three Things Thursday: Grimm
3 things I've learned from watching... Grimm
1. People want to believe that the unknown exists.
2. Even if we want fantasy to be real, we will still fear the moment it actually connects with our real lives.
3. Even if the truth is right in front of our eyes, we still may choose to turn our eyes away and pretend we don't see.

Six Sentence Sunday: Blood Reign
How had she fallen under his spell so easily? After only one tumble on his silks, she was ready to accept him as her master again. No, not as her master, but now that she was in his mind, she knew he’d never wanted to be her master.
Now she knew his heart, and it made a difference.
Pahele was so tempting with his power. She remembered how all the lesser demons had groveled longingly for any attention he offered, and she understood that need.

Three Things Thursday: Uraboku
3 more things I've learned from watching.... Betrayal Knows My Name
1. Some magic battles are silly. For example: being attacked by butterflies and fighting back with feathers. Yeah, I thought the images were beautiful but I couldn't overcome the irritation. Will have to watch it again to figure out why.
2. Tripping can be wonderfully convenient when you want your super hunky demon lover to catch you... I'm clumsy, can I have some of that too please? (yes, he has a big sword too)
3. Teenage superheroes can be quite troublesome once the villains are vanquished. Then they just turn back into normal bratty teenagers.
Okay, so I ended up posting about Betrayal Knows My Name more than I expected. Turns out that through the ups and downs of this series, I really enjoyed the ride. I highly recommend at least checking it out. Especially if you enjoy angsty vamp type stories and don't mind being teased by a boy-love theme.

Six Sentence Sunday: Blood Justice
Some things were out of their control, a hard concept for his kind to accept. Seemingly just as difficult for Lyna.
Her tears slowed not at all, but the wracking sobs eased until her face turned up and her gaze slammed into his. “I hate you. You’ve destroyed everything I hold dear. Why can’t I kill you?”

Six Sentence Sunday: Blood Justice
Sadaen ignored the pain in his body. It faded with every heartbeat. All that he could focus on was his angel. She’d proven without a doubt that he wasn’t meant to die. With every strike of her deadly blades, she’d saved him.
And the hate and despair in her face tore him apart.
