Black Metal Relic: Slayer Mag # 3/4 From 1986 Is Up for Grabs

The Slayer Mag Archives are opening up a little and releasing some treasure. The Norwegian/English double issue #3/4 is up for grabs this week on eBay. The A5-sized zine from early 1986 contains features and interviews with bands like Voivod, Slayer, Venom, Bathory, Possessed, and Mefisto, plus one of the very first printed features ever on Mayhem. About a year later, editor Metalion helped Mayhem get it together to release Deathcrush, the infamous mini-LP dedicated to him.

Experiencing Nirvana: Grunge in Europe, 1989, author Bruce Pavitt will appear at Bookpeople of Moscow, on Saturday, March 29. Unless we’re missing something, this will be Bruce’s book tour debut in the home state of Tad Doyle, one of the stars of his real-life photojournal and diary of eight crucial days on tour in Europe with Nirvana, Tad, and Mudhoney in 1989.
