What Do the Characters in “Fender” Look Like?
When I published The Fifteenth of June, I had some fun by creating a blog post outlining which Hollywood celebrities I’d cast as each of the main characters.
I decided to do the same thing for Fender, which is now available for purchase on Amazon in print and Kindle eBook format.
After scouring the internet for ideas, here is the best fit I came up with based on how I envisioned and described each character in the book:
Picking actors to play the characters in Fender was a bit tricky.

[Fender] was much more emotional than I had expected. . . . I cried at least once in the first 60 pages.

“Fender is a delightful story…”
. . . a tragic-comic series of events that proves that the journey is more important than the destination. . . . Fender is a delightful . . . story about the redemptive power of friendship.

“I can’t recommend this one enough.”

Including driving around each destination—from the hotel to dinner, landmarks, dog parks, and so forth—we logged more than 7,000 miles and 126 hours behind the wheel on that trip, visiting 12 destination cities and spending 23 nights on the road.
We took I-90 west, I-5 south, and I-80 back east.

“…the feeling of having met real people.”
Jones does not gloss over the trouble, pain or darkness in a person’s life experience, but he feathers [Fender] with quick, sure glimpses of the good in life . . . It leaves me with the feeling of having met real people. . . . I’m waiting eagerly for Jones’s third book!

“Brent Jones has exceeded expectation…”
Brent Jones has exceeded expectation that his sophomore novel, Fender, might best the debut. This emotionally packed literary saga . . . is powerful and profane and masterfully examines the overwhelming condition of stupefying grief.
