Mostly straight, often kinky, and occasionally curly, Elysia Strife fills her novels with bold and beautiful, mysterious and tormented, characters. Her past wears fatigues, suits, and fitness gear, sprinkled with mascara and lace. She likes the kick of a 30-06, the rumble of a hot, 350-ci V8, and the thrill of snow and sand beneath her tracks, but nothing brings her more solace than camping in the mountains and writing. She believes heroes come in all forms, sometimes even in groups, but they are always humble, willing to sacrifice, and often torn inside. Elysia loves connecting with readers and welcomes all feedback and questions.

I'd have to pick the few deja vu dreams that occasionally equate to clairvoyance. I've always wondered if it was some level of repressed subconscious that just finished a puzzle my conscious mind hadn't solved yet. I'd love to study brain chemistry, human networking, and the effects of electrotherapy a little more in depth. Maybe it could make a fun sci-fi/cyberpunk novel with a few tech and socioeconomic twists.(less)

Then I distract myself with something else for a few hours, a couple of days while I mull it over. Exercise helps reduce stress. Sometimes that's enough. Other times I need to work on another book or go explore the world, depending on how stuck I am. New experiences can give your aching brain muscle a rest. And then there's sleep. Just make sure you keep a journal beside you in case you have a eureka moment in the middle of the night. Don't forget a pencil. That's the worst.
When you return and see those questions you wrote down, it makes it easier to remember where you left off, and kick start the writing process again.(less)

Book Review: Asrian Skies By Anne Wheeler

Book Review:
Asrian Skies By Anne Wheeler (4 stars)

(Shadows of War Book 1)

If you like clean, character-driven, female protagonist Sci-Fi, you will enjoy this![image error]

Wheeler has done an amazing job throwing in twists and betrayals like no other. She is a master of interrogation sessions and politics. A perfect blend of easy-to-read sentences with somewhat advanced language makes this a comf...
