Vacation! Day 2

Okay, here's where it gets really exciting. The wedding of the year (Jen and Drew's) was being held at a resort in Carmel. Holeman Ranch. And we had the entire place to ourselves! It was like living in a private town with all the coolest people. I mean, holy heck. Check out these photos!

And then I did something I've never done before... I went horseback riding on the ranch. I'm not going to lie, I wasn't a fan. I spent the entire time alternating between absolute terror and controlled fear. B...

Vacation! Day 1

This is the first in three exciting vacation posts! I'm talking horseback riding, a stunning resort and flasks filled to the top. :-) But first...

How to Confuse your Wife

My husband is kind of awesome. But that doesn't mean I expect him to be awesome on a daily basis. So today when he came home and handed me a vanilla latte, I said, "Thanks, baby. That's sweet."

And then he went outside while I continued to tweet. He came back in, and when I looked over, he had a dozen roses. Um, what? Normally this may cause an Awwwww reaction. But I've been writing and revising and staying indoors to the point of paranoia. My reaction was:

Oh, God. What did I forget? Shit...

Books that wouldn't let me SLEEP!

It's funny, for a writer, I'm not sure I read all that much. When I do I get this weird guilt thing, like, "If you have so much time to read, you should be writing!". Not sure if that's ever happened to anyone before, but it happens to me constantly. So it's actually kind of rare that a book will make me forget about my self-imposed writing prison and have me staying up until five in the morning to finish reading.

So here's where things get really strange: It happened to my four times last wee...

The Hot Girls of YA!

Kari from A Good Addiction is back with another guest post on The Hot Girls of YA!!

What do you think? Who would be on YOUR list?

Take it away, Kari:

I thought it was only fair to give some attention to our hot girls in YA. The exist. They drive a lot of the kick butt books we love. Maybe we focus on and drool over the boys… but there's room for the girls. And here is the ten hottest chicks in YA, as dubbed by me and based on books I've read.

10. Tessa (The Naughty List by Suzanne Young): ...
