RT - Set the Tone
Music is the one thing that sparks memory faster than most things.
Every time I hear "Fly like an Eagle." I remember my trip to the prom.
Why not put on some music and make a few memories?

Have a great weekend,

Groups, Groups and More Groups
As authors, we are constantly trying to get our names out there.
How else will people know we exist?
So we join Yahoo Groups - search for them so that we can promote our books.
There are a few things to know before you do this.
1. Read the rules of the group. It is not wise to post a promo without knowing the rules.
2. Daily digest. Make sure to put email on daily digest or your inbox will run over.
3. Knowing how to make the post appealing. (I can use help with this, but the more interesting the post the more peope will read it.)
Hope this helps,
Tina

Guest C.B McKee

Blurb -
Uprooted from a small Texas town, Florence “Ace” Fox is stashed in a camp for orphans, Weirdness abounds with the director talking of wizards and casting spells. He even claims she’s possessed, and that the entity is sending her power levels off the charts.
Rebel Wizards learn of her strength and decide they can use Ace to their benefit and greed to gain control of The World!! They plot against her.
In danger and on the run, Ace and her friends’ travel through the old west looking for a way to rid her of the entity. They discover that only the leaders of the wizarding world can help, but will she like their solution?
Jail, death, or powerless.
Excerpt:
I need the right words or the spell will misfire. The statement still rumbled through her thoughts along with many others. What were they talking about?
Ace hadn’t asked any questions. She’d found when joining a new group she’d fair better if she kept quiet and observe until she understood more about the people.
“You might say we’re in school?” Vicki lowered her voice to where Ace had to lean over the side of her cot to hear her words clearly.
“What type of school?”
“On how to do magic,” Vicki muttered and held out her hand. A small light glowed in the center of her palm.
Ace stared at the burning flame until it faded. Excitement filtered through her blood until she remembered the last time she had tried to help a person with nothing more than herbs and incoherent chants.
Darn, she wanted to believe magic existed. Oh, to be powerful and right the wrongs of the world. However, the fantasy wouldn’t happen, couldn’t happen, the world didn’t have magic. It only had people who knew how to trick others. Peddlers of fancy dreams, who knew how to steal money from unsuspecting people, then disappeared into the night.
Ace didn’t want to offend anyone and decided she’d keep her opinion to herself. “Right, then I guess, I have a lot to learn.”
Vicki didn’t comment, instead after a few minutes Ace could hear the other girl’s steady breathing.
Unable to settle down, Ace swung her legs over the side of her cot and sat on the side. She adjusted her white, cotton gown around her legs. Her mind fought to find answers to all the questions running through her head.
Did Vicki believe she was being taught magic or was Saw deceiving everyone in the camp? After all, what did a bunch of kids know? And why only recruit orphans?

Hide little notes in her car, briefcase, purse, dresser drawers.
Little one lines like --
I love you.
You're the center of my world.
I'm thinking of you.
Have a great weekend and stay in love. It's the best thing you can do for yourself and your lover.

What Do You Need For a Website?
Most sites have a number of pages. Here are just a few.
1. Home Page / Welcome page – is like the entryway to your house. It is an introduction to you. It should include things like author’s picture, available books, a welcome note, brief biography and links to all the other pages on the site.
2. Books Page – as an author you want people to find your books. This page should contain all the books you’ve written with either blurbs, excerpts or reviews. Or links to this information.
3. Bio Page – a page to tell people about yourself. Who you are, what you write, more about your personal interests and other information you want to share.
4. Links Page – this page gives visitors to your site links to other places on the Internet where they can find you. Also, it can include links to your friends and publisher. This is important because links to other sites that link back to you increases your rating on the Internet. (This also increase your SEO rating—see definition below.)
5. Other Pages – the possibility for other pages are endless. Here is where you make your site your own.
6. Picture page - share pictures.
7. Contact page – where you give fans your email address.
8. Excerpt pages – giving excerpts of your books or the ability to read the first chapter.
9. Video Page – to display video you’ve made. (A great way to connect with readers.)
10. Some sites have chat areas.

The Joys of Family
Every day we tend to meet and talk to the same old people. It can be very easy to begin to take them for granted.
After all, they are there when you're happy or sad. They can drive you crazy when you're trying to watch a show or do your nails.
Then for no reason at all, you see them in a different light. Their hair is a little to long, they help to achieve a task that you wanted to avoid.
The fun thing is you find you really are glad they're in your life, and you appreciate them that much more.
Have a great week,
