Buddhadeb Basu was born on 2nd December 1952, in Kolkata. He hails from a state and a cultural background that nurtured numerous personalities in the field of literature, cinema, science, and spirituality. Naturally, he imbibed those traditions especially taking shelter in the teachings of Shri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda who redefined perspective towards spiritual beliefs and divinity of the God.
After achieving numerous successes in his life, Buddhadeb Basu shifted his career towards writing. His first fiction book “Journey to the celestial city”. In which Basu talks about the journey to find happiness.
