It all starts with a blank page. After 30 years of illustrating picture books for amazing authors like Brian Jaques, Phyllis Root, Anne Marie Pace, Anika Aldamuy Denise, and Jane Yolen, I had an opportunity to create something that was wholly my own. 
That opportunity was a blank page in my digital sketchbook and an idea fueled by a great conversation with my kids over a pizza dinner.
Now there are seven foreign rights deals already completed lots of indie bookstore love, and major retailers committed to the title prior to the book's release in March 2022.
