Book Launch
So it has been and gone and has been called successful. What does that mean exactly? I sold / signed a lot of books. My wife's hand made dolls of the characters in my book went down a treat. seventy four guests, Rosanne Hawk as a speaker and sixty two sales. I could get used to this. Time to finish my new story... Or a sequel...

Six Days and Counting
So six days till my book drops. Six days till my first offering to the reading community. And I realized after my last post that I did not leave any information on my story. So here is what my wife had to say about it on Facebook: "It's coming-of-age swords and sorcery story about a teen who has an item stolen from him in the middle of the night. He follows the thief (a goblin, as it turns out) to another dimension where humans are illegal, the old gods of our legends are now faded husks of their glory just trying to stay alive, and the item that he's trying to get back is desperately sought after by the ruling queen of that world - a siren goddess who is chasing immortality."
The only reason I share what Bec said is that it was so wonderfully written that I wish I could go back and replace it with the actual blurb from the back of the book.

The First of Many
Well, my first commercially published book is just about to hit the shelves and I have to say I am nervous. I have never organized a book launch; and (as I can rarely organize my way out bed in the morning) I am concerned.
Is there anyone out there who can link me with data to show if there is any correlation between a successful launch and book popularity? It could be calming to know what I am headed for. For those interested it is on the 10th of march at 6:30 at Emanuel Lutheran Church Adelaide South Australia. The book is a young adult fantasy called Jonah and The Clockwork Goblin.
