Announcing my Next Book: Cruise Ship

Right now, I think everyone could use a bit of escapism, which is why I’m particularly excited to announce my next book, Puzzling Escapes: Return to the Cruise Ship from a Deserted Island. I know I’m excited about every book I release, but I’m super pumped about this one. I’ve been wanting to do a vacation-themed puzzle book for a while that had a laid back feel, yet still contained interesting

Book Review: Evalene's Number by Bethany Atazadeh

I was browsing books on my phone when Amazon showed Evalene’s Number as a title I might enjoy. I thought the cover was so cool, I had to find out who the cover designer was. Using the look inside feature, I flipped to the copyright page to find more info on the cover image.

I smirked at the title. A character has a number? I immediately knew what the book was going to be: A dystopian society is

Virtual Book Signing

I was updating my events page recently to move around comic cons that were postponed and deleting those that were canceled. Comic cons are one of my favorite parts of being an indie author, and I'm sad that there won't be any in the foreseeable future.

However, there have been a number of virtual comic cons popping up, and that gave me an idea: I could host a virtual book signing. I've

Quality DNA Now Available as Audiobook

It feels like I got the ball rolling on this project just the other day, but in reality, I started seriously looking into creating an audiobook for one of my novels in January. Instead of starting with my debut book, I decided to do my favorite novel, Quality DNA. Fortunately, the process went really smoothly: I quickly found the perfect narrator, she did an amazing job recording and producing

Free Book for Quarantine

I’m pretty bummed right now. In Maryland, schools will be closed for the next two weeks and large gatherings have been prohibited. That means my next event, Four State Comic Con, had to cancel their show. Then, the Great Philadelphia Comic Con decided to postpone until labor day. Doing these events are the highlight of my career; I get to meet fans, network with fellow creators, and make some

New Project: Journals

I feel like I have a million irons in the fire—many of which I’m not quite ready to share. But, I’ve got a new venture I’d like to announce!

One of the creative parts that I love about producing books is making gorgeous covers, and as a writer, I use a lot of journals. So, I decided to combine these two in order to create a line of journals that will be available through Amazon. To keep these

Flash Fiction: Advent Calendar

I thought I'd try something a little different and share a flash fiction piece I recently wrote. So, to get into the holiday spirit, here's a story about a woman who finds something surprising in her strange advent calendar.

Advent Calendar

When I bought the advent calendar from Mr. Thompson's antique shop, I had thought it would be empty. My intentions were to fill it with candies and

Today is Release Day for Puzzling Escapes: Trapped in the Bookstore!

After launching Puzzling Escapes: Mystery of the Spaceship and the Missing Crew, I jumped into a new sci-fi novel. But when sales for my puzzle book really took off, I decided to set the new fiction book aside and focus on another Puzzling Escapes installment.I had a few fun ideas for scenarios that would be exciting to escape, and ultimately picked the idea that aligned most with my own

Book Review: Tentacles and Teeth by Ariele Sieling

A couple of months ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Ariele Sieling at GalacticCon, where I snagged a copy of Tentacles and Teeth. The next book in the series, City of Dod, released last week, and I realized I never shared my thoughts on the first one.

Announcing my Next Book: Trapped in the Bookstore

When I launched my first Puzzling Escapes book, I was surprised how well it did right from the start. It’s been popular both on Amazon and at my last few events. Since it’s been so well received, I decided to bump up the production of the next Puzzling Escapes installment and am excited to announce that Puzzling Escapes: Trapped in the Bookstore will release on November 6th, 2019!
