How is everyone's week going?

This week has been a huge learning curve for me. And I mean HUGE.This author world is something I thought I knew about but now I realize I really didn't. It's okay thought. It's actually pretty awesome. I like learning new things I find interesting and this sure has been interesting.Release blitzes? Who knew? Not me!Promoting your book way before it comes out? I had no idea!Blog tours? No clue either.The only thing I really knew was advertising your book, using social media, and getting reviews.I am so glad I found all of this out. Thank you to all of the wonderful people on social media who have helped me out and lead me in the right direction. I have learned so much and have found some great resources.I published my first book over the weekend. It actually is a novella that I had written a while ago and never did anything with it. It took some courage for me to publish as I was nervous to put my work out there. So I decided to just give a short piece of me out there for now while I work on my first full length novel.I am setting a goal for a spring release and I hope I can stick to it. I want to try to write a little bit every day and start promoting it in the new ways I have learned. I am very excited to start this new journey. I am a little nervous, showing myself to the world, but I hope you will love my stories and they will give you the entertainment and escape from reality you are craving when you are reading a page turning book.I want to start a newsletter as well to be able to send out freebies and giveaways, news and teasers, would anyone be interested in joining? Check it out! It's a good story so far and I can't wait to finish and see how the story plays out.~I am writing my first full length novel right now. I can't tell anything about it yet but don't worry! You soon will know!~My favorite genres to read and write are pretty much the same. I like romance, mainly erotica romance and contemporary. I write erotica romance. But I also like to read thrillers- mainly psychological ones. Plus I've read a lot of the popular series such as Harry Potter, Divergent, Hunger Games, and Twilight. I don't write those genres though but you never know!~My goals are two right now- finish my first full length novel by the spring, summer at the latest, and my second is to learn the ropes in promoting myself and get myself and my upcoming book really out there. My struggles are finding time to write as I work a full time day job and I am raising two children. I also struggle with being a new writer, being inexperienced in a lot of areas, and not knowing about the industry as much as others.~I learned a lot this week as I talked about before- promos, release blitzes, blog tours, etc. It is amazing!I can't wait to hear back from you!
