Do Something AMAZING for Your Marriage
Want to do something AMAZING for your marriage? Pray . . . together.
John and I started praying together about four years ago. We thought we were doing fine as a couple until my old boyfriend contacted me over the Internet. I really struggled with all the emotions over that past relationship, and I asked my husband to pray for me. He did. Aloud. Holding my hands. His face next to mine. It was

My Writing Desk | Robin Lee Hatcher
This is my writing desk that is part of my office credenza. (Behind me is a desk where I can read or pay bills, etc.) In this picture you can see:
* My "bucket list" (7 things to do before I die) taped to the bookcase doors
* My Apple 27" LED display
* The corner of my MacBook Pro (which is plugged into the display)
* Sticky notes to myself about my books, Bible verses, writing

What the Titanic Taught Me About Parenting
April 15, 2012 marked the 100th Anniversary of the Titanic Disaster. One of my newest novels, By the Light of the Silvery Moon, is set on the Titanic, and as I wrote it I couldn't help but think about my family being on that ship—my husband and kids especially. I tried to picture me and my daughters climbing into a lifeboat and seeing my husband and grown sons standing on the decks. It truly

An Interview on Beyond Hope's Valley
I have a lot of questions from people asking me about my Amish novel Beyond Hope's Valley. Here are some of those questions...and the answers. If you have a question feel free to ask!
Beyond Hope's Valley is the third of a three-book series. Do you find it harder or easier to write a series?
For me writing a series is easier. When I start a novel the hardest part of the book is the first ten

Amish Community: Seymour, MO | Photos by Lori O'Dell
Hey! My name is Lori O’Dell. I’m 35 years old…a mother of a teenage daughter and a seven year old son, who are the loves of my life, along with my husband. I am a police officer by profession (a patrolman as well as a DARE Officer). My husband is a full-time firefighter, which means we have a very unusual household. :) I began photography a few years ago to escape some of the stress and heartache

The Stranger You Married | Guest Post by Kimberly Rae
It was my first experience seeing an arranged marriage. The Asian bride was beautiful: her hands and feet painted with intricate red designs and flowers around her neck.
She sat solemnly, face covered with heavy layers of white makeup. Her groom sat nearby on the stage—thin, lanky, and obviously nervous.
Who wouldn’t be? I could not stop the questions that came to mind. What would it
