I've Been Busy

This is my first blog post in 5 months, and there's been a reason for that. Kickstarter basically sucks your life away along with personal matters. Now that my Kickstarter is almost finished, I decided it's time for an update.

Irregular Heartbeat and (Un)Reliable Spirit are two of my newest and semi-newest book releases. Good reviews have been pouring in from the people who have read the first book in the (Un)Series, (Un)Graceful Cat, and I couldn't be happier.

I've created t-shirts that have been a hot item along with signed illustrations. Everything is going well, and now the last thing I need to do is attain 10 ISBNs so I can release my books to more people in the world!

So watch out, because I'm coming for you, Barnes & Noble! This was a short update, but I'll be sure to post more frequently in the future so you won't suspect I'm dead or something outrageous like that.

What is Irregular Heartbeat?

My new novella, Irregular Heartbeat is coming out on Valentine's Day. I picked Valentine's Day because of the theme of the book.

"Two damaged people meet and fall in love."

I know, I know, it sounds cliche. But I really wanted to get the characters to stop harassing me in my head. Since it is a cliche topic, I decided to put a spin on it. The boy Eliana meets has split-personality disorder and forgets her frequently, while she cuts her wrist to forget her pain. In this sense, they both sound similar. To forget the pain, the slip away from reality.

I can't tell you how much pain it caused me to make them go through all of this. But to be an author, sometimes you have to be a sadist...

I'm not sure how these dark-topics will be received, but I hope you enjoy it! It's out for pre-order on Kindle now. It's my first time writing such a short book. Why not pick it up for a quick read if you like your Valentine's dramatic and dark?

What's Truly Important

I'm not going to lie-I'm not a very "open" person. If anything, I would proudly call myself an introvert. Sure, like any other child growing up, I would cry and wonder why no kids would play with me. I went through the phase of wanting to have plenty of friends. But you know what I found out instead?

Family is everything. No matter what, they were always there for me, wiping my tears for me when no one else would. And you know what? That's what's truly important.

You can say I have a horrible social life. You can say I have no friends-whatever the definition of a "true friend" is. But at the end of the day, I'm just happy to have a book in hand with a cup of tea in the other and sit on the couch watching TV with my family.

That's the thing that truly matters to me, and no one can take that away from me.
