Blurb:

Dylan Johnson has recently discovered he’s a witch, a true necromancer, to be exact. But frankly, he doesn’t know how to juggle being a new kindergarten teacher and practicing his long-dormant magic. To complicate things, he’s trying to help solve six mysterious, seemingly unrelated, supernatural deaths.

Aurelius Chatzis is one of the detectives in charge of the Supernatural Crimes Division. As a vampire almost three thousand years old, he can’t understand his immediate attraction to Dylan. Their close proximity during the initial stage of the investigation, in addition to his partner’s nosy interference, eventually leads to a memorable first date.

Unfortunately, the mounting danger of the multiple murders will test the strength of Dylan and Aurelius’s new relationship. Will it survive and last for an eternity? Or will it crash and burn from the pressure of it all?

Excerpt:

He eyed the clock on the wall. It was close to midnight. They had been perusing the files for more than an hour. Unfortunately, he had not discovered anything new. Judging by the scowl of irritation on Dylan’s face, the witch didn’t fare any better. He gave up after another pointless minute of reading the same page over again. He then gazed at the sexy witch in front of him. He would be more than willing to give up his immortality for a chance to make love to the other man. It would be worth it.

“Take a picture. It will last longer.”

He jumped a little at Dylan’s words and blushed in embarrassment.

“Sorry.”

“Why are you staring at me anyway? Have you read through the files properly?”

“Of course I have, but I can’t find the connection among the victims,” he replied to the second question, hoping that Dylan would not realize that he hadn’t answered the first one, but his hope was dashed.

“You are avoiding my first question, but I will let it slide for now.” He glared at the smirking witch, but remained silent. “Anyway, I can’t find anything in these files either, but I’m positive that there have to be a connection between them.”

“Probably.”

Right then, Moira returned into the room.

“Dylan, you’re right. All of the victims had died on the nights of the full moon.”

“Shit. When is the next one coming up?”

“In five days.”

“Fuck!”

He nodded in agreement. The situation was desperate now. The three of them didn’t speak for a minute or two.

“Have the two of you found anything helpful in those folders?”

“Nope. I think you and I need to interview the victims’ families and friends once again,” he said to Dylan.

“That’s a good idea, Aurelius, but I can’t come along. I have classes to teach tomorrow morning. Umm, I mean, later this morning. It’s already fifteen minutes past midnight.”

“That’s fine, Dylan. What specifically should Aurelius and I be asking?” Moira said.

“Check to see if the victims were friends, ex-schoolmates, colleagues ... oh, is it possible that they were members of a cult?”

He couldn’t help but snort upon hearing that.

“What? Like the virgin club or something?”

The three of them were stunned into complete silence at the implication of his words. He had inadvertently led them to a possible clue. Moira stood up straighter and smirked at him.

“Good job, Aurelius.”

“I’m not a dog, Moira.”

“Guys, I think you need to look at that possibility.”

“Sounds good. I’ll see you at seven o’clock, Moira. Come on, Dylan. I’ll drive you home.”

“Bye, boys. Don’t do anything ... dirty.”

He rolled his eyes at the lascivious grin on Moira’s face while Dylan’s cheeks burned red in obvious embarrassment.

“Bye, Moira. Will I be seeing you tomorrow evening?”

“You will if that possessive vampire of yours is willing to let you out of his sight.”

“Our relationship is strictly professional.”

“Keep telling yourself that, vamp. I’m a siren, remember? I can smell arou ...”

“Shut up, Moira. Let’s go, Dylan.”

“Sure.”

Moira didn’t bother replying to him. Instead, she howled in amusement at his discomfort. He gritted his teeth. He seriously needed to find a new partner at work. That woman was totally insane.

Dylan and he made his way down to the basement by riding the elevator. Once they reached it, he placed a hand on Dylan’s back and guided the witch towards his car. He couldn’t help the feeling of pride and possessiveness at their closeness even though there was nothing happening between them. He squashed down the resounding “Yet!” that was echoing through his mind. Dylan hadn’t shown any sexual or romantic interest in him and he didn’t want to keep his hopes up only to plummet to the ground with burning disappointment later on should the witch reject him. Fuck! He was so screwed, and not in the nicest way possible.

Blurb:

Richard Boyd knows that all couples have relationship issues, but Edward Miller has abruptly abandoned him for two weeks now. He misses Edward. The loneliness is killing him slowly inside. Then, he bumps into Samuel Tanner, the nighttime security guy at the office where he works. The instant—and mutual—sexual attraction surprises him.
Edward is still in love with Richard, but he is tired of being taken for granted. He tries to work things out between them, but Richard’s new friendship with Samuel leaves him cold and insecure.
Samuel faces an unexpected dilemma. He is sexually attracted to Richard, but when he meets the man’s estranged lover, he finds himself falling in love with Edward. Can the three men find a way to resolve their issues to their mutual satisfaction? Or will they all crash and burn in the end?

Note: This book contains double penetration.

Excerpt:

Richard stared at his boyfriend in disbelief. He was sorely tempted to dig his ears to make sure he had not misheard anything.
“Babe, care to repeat that?”
“What are your thoughts about polygamous relationships?”
“That’s…why?”
“Level with me, love. Do you like Sam?”
“What?”
“Do you like Sam?”
“I…yes, I like Sam. He’s a friend. Is this about the shower incident?”
“Not totally. Do you like Sam enough to date him?”
“Ed, what are you trying to imply?” he countered in annoyance.
“It’s not a difficult question, love. Do you like Sam enough to date him?”
“I…yes! Okay? Satisfied?” he half shouted.
They just finished dinner a few minutes ago, so they were still sitting across from each other at the dining table. They had been discussing the progress of the renovation at the bakery initially. Suddenly, his lover had changed the topic to something unexpected. It had come out of nowhere, and he was completely shocked when Edward had mentioned it.
“Love, listen to me. Sam is attracted to both of us. You like him enough to go out on a date with him. I can honestly say that I feel the same way about him. Dating him won’t be a hardship.”
“Get to the point, babe.”
“I think we should try dating one another.”
“A threesome?”
“A polygamous relationship.”
“Same difference.”
“That’s not…whatever. Look, do you want to do this or not?”
“What brings this up?”
“Rich, the three of us have been dating one another unofficially for a while now. Do you not realize that we’ve been meeting up regularly and exclusively? We’ve barely hung out with our other friends recently.”
“I…that’s…damn it. You’re right,” Richard hissed out before glaring at his lover. “Don’t smirk and don’t give me that smug face.”
“I absolutely love it when I’m right.”
“That’s your worst personality trait right there.”
“Whatever, love. You love me in spite of it. So?”
“What?”
“Don’t play coy with me, love. It’s not cute.”
“Whatever. I’m in, but only if Sam agrees to it.”
“Oh, believe me. I’m certain that he will be jumping at the chance to date us both.”
“Overconfidence much?”
“Nope, just an educated guess. Besides, I can also be observant at certain times and I’m right more often than not.”
Richard rolled his eyes at his lover and stood up, refusing to dignify his lover’s assertion with a vocal response. Instead, he carried the dirty dishes into the kitchen. He would wash everything up because Edward had cooked the food for the two of them. It was a system that had worked for them over the years. He idly wondered what it would be like to add Sam into the mix. He had the feeling that things were about to become so much more interesting.
  * * * *  Edward waited patiently for the news to sink in. Richard remained quiet next to him while Sam was staring at them both like they were insane.
“Do you want to repeat that?”
He could not help his laughter. Sam’s expression was similar to Richard’s when he had this exact same discussion with his boyfriend about being in a polygamous relationship a few days ago. Now they were here, sitting at an Italian restaurant and having lunch together on a windy Saturday. The weather was getting colder because it was already halfway through November.
“Sorry, Sam. Richard had the same reaction when the two of us were talking about this possibility.”
“Okay…”
“Look, Sam. Can you think about it?”
“I don’t have to. It’s not a secret that I’m attracted to both of you, but…”
“But?” Richard interjected.
“What if things don’t work out? I don’t want to lose you both. You are my friends first and foremost. Your friendship is important to me.”
“It won’t be easy, Sam,” Edward admitted. “But don’t you think that we all deserve a chance to try it out?”
“Yeah, I guess.”
“Are we really doing this?” Richard chimed in again.
“It’s my idea, so I’m all for it. It’s now up to the two of you,” he responded quickly.
“I’m in if you’re both cool with it,” Sam replied hesitantly.
“Count me in,” Richard muttered eventually. “Besides, as Edward pointed out to me, the three of us had been unofficially dating one another for a few weeks now.”
Sam looked surprised upon hearing that, but the other man nodded in agreement nonetheless, realizing the truth in that statement.
“Anyway, guys. The bakery will be closed temporarily beginning next Monday. The sign has been hanging by the door for a few days now, so most of our regulars should be aware of this,” Edward announced to the other two men, effectively changing the topic before things could become awkward.
“I’ve heard back from the publisher again. The official release date for my first book will be on November twenty-fifth,” Sam followed up with his own exciting news. “Also, some people out there have apparently been intrigued enough by my book after reading the excerpts, so the publisher is planning to offer a bigger discount for the early birds.”
“That’s wonderful news, Sam,” Richard commented enthusiastically. “Congratulations.”
“It’s not much,” Sam replied with a blush.
“Baby steps, Sam,” he assured the other man kindly.
“Yeah.”
The three of them continued to chat and eat for the next hour or so before paying for their food and leaving the restaurant. They promised to meet up the next day for their first official date before going on their separate ways. Edward was a little nervous, but they could not be certain if they did not even try to date one another. He just hoped that things would work out for all three of them. Changing the nature of their relationship was a huge step and an even bigger risk after all.

Blurb:

Theodore Westbay has finally decided to start dating again after being dumped by his ex-lover, Daniel Worthington. Alan Peterson, a celebrity chef, is sweet and gorgeous and Theodore is slowly falling in love.

Daniel has never been able to let go of his feelings for Theodore, so he fights for the man when the opportunity arises. His ex-lover has already moved on, though. He realizes that it is too late for them to get back together. Nonetheless, they remain friends. He even hangs out with Alan, strange as it may be.

After months of interactions, Theodore begins to realize that he has fallen deeply in love with both Alan and Daniel. He doesn’t know what to do.

Does he have the courage to choose between the two men? Or will all three be hurt in the end?

Note: Contains double penetration

Excerpt:

“Hi, Theo. It’s so good to see you,” Daniel greeted.
“What do you want, Daniel?” He did not feel the need to be polite. After all, this bastard had dumped him unceremoniously without a proper good-bye. A note left on the pillow did not count. It was the coward’s way out. He took note of the expensive suit and tie. Daniel had not changed then. The man was, more likely than not, still working for his parents in their multi-billion dollar company.
He remembered the Worthingtons. Daniel’s parents never bothered to hide their disdain of him. He knew that he was just a poor baker back then, but he thought he could try to make them see how much he loved their son and maybe they would come to accept him. Sadly, they refused to acknowledge him at all. In fact, they barely even looked at him.
Daniel had two younger brothers and a younger sister. He tried to get along with them, hoping that maybe they would be more sympathetic. He was wrong. They talked to him as if he were a filthy cockroach they refused to step on with their very expensive pairs of shoes. He gave up trying soon enough.
“Theo, I…would you like to have dinner with me this evening? It’s Saturday after all. You used to close earlier for the weekend.”
“Daniel, I can’t. I have a date with Alan tonight. Is there anything else?” he asked pointedly.
“Are you guys together now?”
“I don’t make it a habit to announce to strangers the status of my relationship,” he hedged instead of replying to the question.
“Are we strangers?”
“What do you want, Daniel?” he repeated his earlier question.
“I…I can’t forget you, Theo. Give me one more chance, please. One date!”
“Too little too late. Now, if there’s nothing else…” he trailed off dismissively.
“Theo, come on,” Daniel pleaded and grabbed his hands.
He was about to pull back when the front door opened.
“Hey, babe. I…” Alan called out, but he stopped mid-sentence, staring in surprise before striding over to land a hard punch on Daniel’s cheek.
His ex-boyfriend was no pushover though. The two men were soon rolling around on the floor, punching each other as hard as they could. The only customer in the bakery, a middle-aged man, helped Theo to separate them by pulling Daniel back while Theo pushed Alan toward the kitchen.
“Babe, please. Wait for me in the kitchen.” He looked worriedly at Alan’s bleeding lip and nose. The man also had a few bruises on his cheeks. Elizabeth had rushed out from the kitchen when the commotion started. “Elizabeth, can you get the first aid kit, please?”
“Sure, Theo,” his employee said as she led his boyfriend into the kitchen.
“Thank you, sir. I’m sorry about this,” he then apologized to the customer, who waved him off.
“It’s fine, young man. Talk some sense into him, will you?” The middle-aged man gestured at Daniel.
“Of course. Thanks for your help again,” he said before pulling his ex-boyfriend out of the bakery. He rounded on the other man the moment they were standing outside. “What the hell is your problem, Daniel?”
“It’s fucking Danny, Theo. You’ve not called me Daniel in a really long time.”
“I’ll call you by your proper first name because we’re no longer together. You fucking dumped me! With a fucking farewell note, remember?”
“Theo, I—”
“Shut up, Daniel. Just go away. I don’t want to talk to you. I don’t want to see you anymore.”
“Theo…”
“Go, please,” he whispered tiredly.
“Okay, Theo. I’m sorry about the fight.” He did not bother to respond at all. Instead, he looked at his ex-boyfriend in irritation. He then noticed several bruises on the other man’s face. Daniel’s nose was bleeding, as well. Plus, there was a bluish-black bruising on the side of the man’s left eye. “Can’t we meet up for coffee or something?”
“Daniel,” he muttered and sighed exasperatedly.
“Please?”
He looked at his ex-boyfriend for a minute or so before he nodded. He was sure that he would be regretting this decision.
“You’re still living at our…the old place?”
“Yeah.”
“Okay, I’ll pick you up. Tomorrow afternoon at four?”
“I…okay, yeah.”
“All right, see you then.”

Blurb:

Trust fund country boy, Dalton, is living in his father's hotel on the San Antonio Riverwalk. He's perfectly happy, enjoying the freedom of taking a different twink from the club each night.
Kaleb is a military brat, and at 18, has decided his single, closed-minded Marine father can't stop him from being gay anymore. Checking himself into the Walton Hotel, he meets Dalton in the lobby one morning.
Dalton spends the next day hunting Kaleb around the Riverwalk, before seeing him in the club that night. Intent on a one-night stand back at Dalton's, neither expects the chance of a lifetime.
Excerpt:

Heading into Hotel Walton my head was a mess from the meeting still. All I wanted, no all I needed was to get back inside my penthouse and finally get my morning blow from Levi's sweet mouth. Crossing the lobby, I wasn't paying attention and bumped right into somebody. I looked up to apologize, but the sight before me caused all trains of thought to put on the breaks. As before me stood a Greek god, he had to be about 5'9 with the brightest emerald green eyes I've ever seen on a human and short military styled brown hair. The bulging biceps and strong calf muscles let me know this guy had to be a gym rat or at least enjoyed working out. He was wearing a white tank that did little to hide his massive pecs and pierced nipples and military desert camouflage cargo shorts. No way you getting this military boy Dalton crossed my mind while out my mouth I just said "My bad bro, wasn't paying attention. You good?" This Greek god just chuckled and walked off towards the front door. No words were given, no answer is given stupid little shit.
Levi guided me to the elevator, and we headed to my penthouse suite, but it was all a daze to me. My mind had abandoned all other thoughts and processes. My dick brain was driving the ship now and demanding that I find this Greek god from the lobby and I conquer him so I could get him out of my system and move onto the next boy.  Entering the suite, I walked to the table in my lobby that held the red phone which connected straight down to front desk. On the second ring Cheyenne, the manager on duty answered: "Cheyenne sweetie did you, or the girls see the young boy I just bumped into?" "No, I'm sorry Mr. Walton we did not. Is there a problem with the young man?" came Cheyenne's timid reply. "Nothing to worry your pretty head over, but please have the security team review the tape and see if they can get me a name and room number of this young boy." In a more confident tone came her agreement.
Hanging up the phone, I went to my window that overlooked the Riverwalk below and leaned against the cold glass. I need to know who this boy is, what he is. Why is unknown to me but in the connection of our bodies I felt a spark, and my body reacted…it's Still responding to the spark felt. I fell as though I can complete nothing till I find this boy and get him out of my system. Turning to Levi, I tell him "Resume your regular afternoon duties. I must go out and find that boy. A tourist or any guest in this hotel must be enjoying themselves along the Riverwalk right about now. That boy is bound to be one of them." Which fortunate for me and this quest to find him, the Riverwalk is the hunting grounds for all my nightly conquest and bed partners. I will find this mystery boy, and I will bring him home tonight.

Excerpt:

Looking out the window I see the city streets fly past. People running here and there, completely focused on their own worries. People who won’t even see me if I were standing in front of them. The world is full of people like that, and to be fair? I was just like them a few months ago, until I became one of the unseen people. I never realized what was out there, underneath the hustle and bustle of normal life. I feel like I’m a different species, like I’m more animal than human now. To someone who’s never been there, they just won’t understand. They’d self righteously say work would solve my problems. Or tell me all I have to be is a contributing member of society. Until I was there, I probably would have said the same thing.
Closing my eyes before the tears can come, I sit up straight. “What exactly is it you want? Why would you try to help me? No one would really want to help me without some kind of payback.” My fear coming across as anger in my whisper. I need to know what I’ve gotten myself into.
Fear, struck ice cold lightning down my spine, and I shivered. All he did was smile and turn the heater up. All the bad things that could happen rolled through my very vivid imagination and I started to shake. I had no idea what this was. I just hope I made it out alive. I may not have had a wonderful life, but I’d like to keep it anyway.
“Hey!” David says as he pulls over to the side of the road, concern in his voice. I realize I’m hyperventilating, but didn’t know how to stop. “I don’t know what you're thinking, but stop! I’m not going to kill you. Nor am I going to do anything to hurt you.”
I want to believe him, but I know people can’t be trusted. No one does anything without wanting something in return. I just hope it won’t be too bad. I’ve been through this before. I survived that, so I know I can handle this. I just have to do whatever he says, locking myself behind my mask and the cold that comes over me. I can do this, I tell myself. It’ll be worth it. A shower, bed, and a way to get off the streets before winter.
“You don't have to be scared, I’ll never do anything without discussing it with you. I won't do anything you don't want me to.”
The firm tone of his voice both thrills and terrifies me. What does he mean? Am I supposed to just agree with whatever he wants? Or does he mean I’ll like what he does to me. Either way, it still scares me. But the reality of my situation is, I really have no choice. I know he was right, I wouldn't have lasted much longer on the streets. While I had the money my “parents” gave me, I hadn’t had to panhandle as much. I can live ok with the scraps I find in the restaurant dumpsters, or eat at the soup kitchens occasionally. But, without the money, things have become more and more difficult. I’m on borrowed time, and I know it. He hasn't really told me why he wants me, or what he wants me for, but I don’t know what else I can do. I’ve been getting more and more desperate, and the pimps are watching me more carefully, just waiting for me to be desperate enough. A shiver runs through me again.
“Justin!” I realize I haven't answered him and he’s becoming more concerned, calling my name again. I’m panicking and my hyperventilating is going to make me pass out soon if I can’t get my anxiety under control. His hand comes down on my neck hard. Not like he hits me, it’s just a firm grip on my neck. He tightens the grip ever so slightly, using his other hand to grab my chin. Slowly turning my face towards his, he looks calm, but stern, making me shiver again.
“You have nothing to worry about. I know this must be a scary thing, but I swear you’re safe.” The look on his face softens a little, but the hand on me stays firm. I realize I’m slowly relaxing, my shoulders sliding down from around my ears. The shakes and hyperventilating slowly calm down as I unconsciously try to match his slow, deep breathing.
“That's right, slow like me. Everything’s going to be okay.” He reaches down and takes my hand, placing it on his chest so I can feel his heartbeat, feel his chest rising and falling.
“Close your eyes and just try to feel my heartbeat. Match your breathing to mine. You're doing so good for me. That's right. Breath slow. Inhale… Exhale.”
I start snickering a little at that, I can’t help it. He gives me a questioning look with a tilt of his head. I still won’t speak. Or more like, I can’t speak. It’s been six months since I was kicked out, so it’s been six months since I’ve spoken louder than a whisper. When I got angry at my so called parents I could almost speak, loud enough to be heard at least. I had reverted to complete silence since then, back to the way I had been trained before. If you were quiet, you weren’t struck or suffocated. The pressure and fear had come back. It was like I had been struck completely mute the day they threw me out.
I’d known it was coming, that they were going to throw me out like the trash. They had their “real” child now, so there wasn’t room for me anymore. At the same time, I had that tiny, little prayer of hope in my heart that they would love me enough not to do it. But they did.
So now, I don’t trust anyone. That whisper of hope, of trust I had was crushed quickly. I’m back to being scared mute. I didn’t get hurt if I didn’t trust. No one can hurt me if they don’t see me.
I always have a backup plan, an out, knowing where the exits are at all times, so I can bolt. Knowing the only person I can ever count on is me. So why am I even in this SUV? Sure there’s a door. I can fling myself out if I need to, but I don’t feel the need to run, to get away as soon as possible. I’m not constantly looking for the quickest way out. I don’t understand what’s happening, but I kinda like this feeling that I’m not alone anymore.
I’ve always been able to protect myself, but I don’t speak. I can’t count the rusty little squeak as I try to make myself understood with David. True, his knowing I didn’t want to speak makes it easier for me. He doesn’t pressure me to speak, just reads my lips and carries on. Understanding it’s fear that’s caused my inability to speak. Like a dog that’s been kicked too many times, cowering away from everyone. It's like my parents ripped the ability out of me again that day. But I’ve learned to whisper, trying to trust. Look where that got me.
His hand squeezing down brings me back to what he wants to know. Am I okay? I put my hands together, palm to palm, and dip my head as far as the hand on the back of my head will let me.
“Yes Mister Miyagi,” I mouth the words at him.
He cracks up, smiling with a wicked looking half smile, showing a glimpse of the dimple in his left cheek. It makes me wonder if there’s another on his right cheek. Would a full smile show it? The hand on my neck loosens a bit while he laughs, and I start to miss the firm grip. It had calmed me.
“Oh, man. That was funny!” He gives me a huge grin, and I see he only has the one dimple. He really is gorgeous. His closely trimmed facial hair accents his firm chin, tracing a thin line all the way around his jawline. His cheeks are bare, but carry five o'clock shadow.
“I’m eighteen.” I have no idea why I tell him that. I hadn’t wanted to tell him, but it just slips out in a moment of weakness.
“Thank you.” He says quietly.

A fated conversation with his daughter finally prompts Michael to do something drastic about not only his work life, but his growing and unbearable sexual attraction to Lance and Adam. Will Michael find his "happily ever after" with either of those gorgeous, unattainable men? Or perhaps, maybe even both of them?

Soon, Michael lays everything on the table, offering Lance and Adam an unconventional proposition, and the three men quickly find themselves in a situation that leads to unexpected consequences for everyone involved. Will Michael, Lance, and Adam make the right decision for their individual families, or will any or all of them crash and burn at the end of their experiment in relationships?

Then he comes up with the sweetest punishment to dole out to his stubborn lovers.

Aiden Eastwood simply wants his boyfriends to feel loved. Since he has the money, he can spoil them both to his heart's content. Excerpt:

Thomas grinned in anticipation at the ten contestants in front of him. He had spent the entire previous day doing nothing at his temporary residence. He had not been allowed to interact with the contestants as they would all need some time to come up with the perfect first date ideas and submit them to the producers of the show. The ideas would be on a first come, first serve basis to ensure that none of them would be exactly the same. The time had passed by very slowly. He was honestly relieved when Daniel, the host, had knocked on his bedroom door earlier that morning to urge him to get ready for their meeting with the remaining ten contestants.
He had showered and dressed up as fast as he could. Daniel and he had then walked for five minutes toward the contestants’ bungalow. Currently, all of them were holding similar envelopes that they had pulled out randomly from inside a velvet bag, which the host had offered to each man one at a time a few minutes earlier. Daniel then signaled for them to open their own envelopes and peek inside.
“Gentlemen, the numbers on the cards within your envelopes represent the order in which you will have your individual dates with Thomas. Can you all please show us the numbers that are printed on your cards?”
Thomas eyed each of the cards anxiously once they had all been turned around. He could now clearly see the numbers printed out on them. He made a mental note of the sequence. James would have the first date, followed by Jason, Nicholas, Dwight, Zachariah, Brian, Raymond, Matthew, Antonio, and Jeremiah. He smiled encouragingly at all of the contestants before returning his attention to Daniel.
“May I say a few words before each of the men is allowed to request for whatever arrangement that they have in mind for the dates?” he inquired of the host.
“Sure, Thomas. Go ahead.”
“Gentlemen, as you all might have known during our brief conversations two nights ago, I am the senior partner at a corporate law firm. Having said that, my taste is really simple and uncomplicated even though I can appreciate the finer things in life. I hope that each of you will plan a date for us accordingly. Thank you.”
“Alright, gentlemen. You have exactly two hours to modify your date, if you need to, and re-submit your individual requests to the production crew members. After that, there will be no more changes allowed. Good luck!”
Thomas and Daniel then led them all into the dining hall for brunch together. They took random seats along the rectangular dining table and proceeded to plate some salad and baked chicken while eating and conversing with one another. This would be another opportunity for the ten contestants to get to know Thomas even better, and vice-versa. He noticed that all of them were getting along with one another splendidly, especially Dwight and Matthew, who seemed to be rather engrossed in conversations with each other almost exclusively. He would have to pay more attention to these two men. It would be easier to let them go from the show if the two men were indeed attracted to each other instead of him.
“Hey, Thomas. Where did you go?”
“Oh, sorry, Jason. What’s up?” he answered sheepishly.
“We’re all wondering what made you decide to participate in the show. I don’t think any of us asked you that yet.”
He could not stop the laughter that bubbled out of him. He had truly been surprised that none of them had thought to ask him that question on the first evening during the cocktail hour. It would have been his first question if he had participated as one of the contestants instead of the one being pursued by ten gorgeous men.
“My best friend Cassandra, better known as Cassie, was probably tired of me lamenting about my lack of a love life, so she decided that it would be a hilarious idea to submit my name to the show without my expressed consent, and here I am.”
“So you don’t want to be here then?”
“I didn’t say that, Nick. I’m honestly glad that Cassie did it behind my back because I would never think of doing it myself in a million years. To be fair though, I have been searching for a while. I’m already thirty years old, almost thirty-one, and my career has been great for the most part. Now I need someone to settle down with and live happily ever after just like in a fairy tale,” he explained, concluding with an amused chuckle.
“Hear, hear!”
“Thanks, Zack.”
The conversations soon turned to their jobs and some of the incredible things that had occurred over the years. They were all having plenty of fun and the meal moved along smoothly. Thomas even managed to ignore the lighting and camera crew for a while because he was enjoying the time with the other men tremendously. When it was finally over, they hung out for about an hour longer before Daniel and he left the bungalow to return to their temporary residence. He was honestly excited and he had divulged that to Daniel as they were walking back. The host simply chuckled in return and informed him to get ready for several fantastic dates ahead. He nodded in agreement.
The men were very competitive with one another, especially Jeremiah and Antonio. He was certain that they would be trying to one-up the other contestants in their attempts to impress him on the first date. The first date would be happening the day after tomorrow and the anticipation was building up fast. He could not wait for it to begin.

Excerpt:

“Hey, Nate.”

“Hey, Abby,” Nathan greeted his best friend in return.

He’d been waiting for Abigail to arrive at the diner for the last ten minutes or so. Not that he noticed the time. He’d been too engrossed in his thoughts since the previous evening.

“You look like shit.”

“Wow. Thanks. I can always count on you to make me feel better about myself.”

“You’re welcome.”

“It’s not a compli -- never mind.”

“Why do you look like shit?”

“Do you have to repeat it?”

“No, but I love saying it. You almost never look like ... well, like shit.”

“Okay, enough already. I get it.”

“Are you sure? I can say it one more ...”

“Not unless you want to lose my friendship.”

“Drama.”

“I’m exhausted.”

“Too much sex?”

“I wish.” He replied in frustration. “Jason and I have been arguing on and off since Christmas. We even quarreled on New Year’s Day.”

“What? Why?”

“A combination of things, I guess.”

“Wedding planning?”

“That’s one part of it. We’re both burned out. By the time we get to bed, we’re both too exhausted to have sex.”

“Blue balls then.”

“Ugh, I don’t want to hear those words coming out of your mouth ever again. You’re the closest to a sister that I have. It’s just so ... wrong.”

“Oh, don’t be a prude. Anyway, the solution is easy.”

“That is?”

“Just have sex.”

He sighed and closed his eyes.

“Easier said than done.”

“No, it’s not.”

“Yes, it is. We had another argument last night.”

“So? Just kiss and make up already.”

“I ... I might have said some things that really hurt his feelings.”

“All couples argue, Nate. What did you say? It can’t be that bad.”

“I called him an insecure, possessive jerk,” he whispered painfully. “Among other things.”

“Ouch. Okay, that must really hit home. Deeply, too.”

“I ... Yeah, I shouldn’t have, but he said something first.”

“Nate ...”

“He called me a dramatic, whiny, and flirty son of a bitch. Among other things, of course.”

“Of course, and I know that you were just trying to hurt him as much as he hurt you, but that didn’t solve anything.”

“I know that now, but last night ...”

“In a moment of anger, I know. Lucas and I have gone through such arguments as well.”

“What do I do?”

“Do you still love him?”

“That’s a stupid question.”

“No, it’s not.”

“Yes, it is. I fucking love him still.”

“Then swallow your goddamn pride and apologize.”

“Why should I apologize first? He started it.”

“Does it matter?”

He stared at his best friend for a few seconds before shaking his head.

“No, it doesn’t. I’ll have to apologize. I can’t lose him.”

“You won’t.”

“How can you be so sure?”

“I bet you all the money in the world that Jason is definitely hurting just as badly as you are right now.”

“Yeah.”

“Come on. Let’s eat first. You’ll feel better afterwards.”

“I doubt it.”

“You will. Then, you wait until the end of the day before going home to apologize to your fiancé.”

“Okay. Thanks, Abby.”

“You’re welcome.”
