Infinite Ammo – Journal 6/1/17

I just had a long conversation with my sister about the perils and difficulties of blogging. How in the hell can I expect to relate to you who is reading this?

We’re all people floating through a void of space, possibly along, probably depressed by the infinitesimally small span of existence each of our lives lays out, and angsty as hell. So where do we go from here? We communicate.

One of the most fundamental things about human relationships is that we have such extensive forms of communicat...

Zailent Spring OS

It’s spring
We’re in the recursion quarter
In this season
Of sun and green

To the future I lean
With my digital digits
Clacking away on my
Keyboard once again

With these light gales
Of finger-falls
Do I find the grace in
Gracility

May on the horizon
And these zailent
Revolutions are playing
Out over and over again

They bring with them the hope
As I fabricate and
Spin my webs
And trap the spring as prey

The lightest breeze
Across my arms and face
As I sit and contemplate
Of what to make

Of wh...

Mossman Cense

Burnt graphite from
Wooden pencils
And charred ink
From cheap pens

Clashes with the dark halls
Of college buildings
Flashlight lit to
Permeate paranoia

Waterlogged woods in rain
Into Green River
To runoff and drain
Through blacktop lanes

A lurking wraith
With no legs
Silent hovering
Stalking the place

But a face
Frozen in horror
And hooded reach
To touch with dank hands

Of mossy fingers
Slowly roaming
These somber halls
Plying as it goes

The spirit of Green River
A marshy haunting in
Grim lab...

Ego Hell – Journal 5/31/17

J-Day has come and gone. Critiques are in and they are disappointingly not tearing me apart? Am I actually good at this? Everyone looking and smiling and saying most everything you do is okay is a sort of ego hell for someone like me. I relish in the verbal combat of defending my writing, and I think I might need a much harder critic to destroy me as a human being based off of poems. Or I’m a glutton for punishment.

Along those lines, an upcoming poem ‘Jungles of Hell’ features the set “Start...

Lunarium

An old woman tends the garden
Outside the duplex lunarium

A small yard fenced in
With soil and pebbles

A large telescope sticks
Out the top of an attic
Converted into an
Observation tower

Inside is one bed
Where the whole family sleeps
A knock at the door
And the house awakens

You were stirring when I woke you
And now you’re stretching
Bright eyed with a sweet face
And couldn’t be more alive

Claustrophobic breakfast now
Sunbeams shine through windows

I’d love to stick around
If there’s room f...

Stims, Doom, and Rap – Journal 5/29/17

Over the past six months, I have had a laptop on in my room. I’m sure that by itself isn’t a cause for alarm, so I shall continue to detail said laptop. It’s an old one. Haven’t opened it since 2014. Let me tell you a little story.

Once upon a time, I had a friend who was super into Greek mythology and shit like that. Said friend isn’t in the best of times. Said friend, let’s call him Mars just to piss him off, was attending online school when I encouraged him to make an outlet like I have he...
