Philip Mann's Blog - Posts Tagged "paranoid"

First Post

Well, here we are. I avoided creating a post for the longest time. After all, how would I find interesting stuff to write about? Even more, why would somebody take precious time from their life to read it?

But I went ahead. The main reason is self-promotion. I need to find some way to publicise my book, Dark Muse. Of course, some will ask,
"Phil, why go through the bother? Just talk about it and things will happen. And keep writing."

But we writers are an insecure, not to say paranoid bunch. We need approval, attention, validation, whatever you call it. We need to see our grand opus crawl, walk, run and take flight. Complacency is not an option.

But this won't be my own soap box. I'll be asking other writers and bloggers to hold forth from time to time, and hope that they actually pull in a few patient souls.

And maybe I'll entertain and inform some people. After all, that's why I write.

Cheers.
