Writing Update
Chapter 15 done, at 6K words, and chapter 16 is halfway done - 4K words and counting. I've met my October goal I set around the 6th of October, and have added 25K words to my draft since then. :) I'm super proud of how I'm going lately!
Wish me luck for Nanowrimo - I'm aiming to up my writing rate to 2K/day.
I'll probably have to leave a bunch of researching and editing for later if I want to write that much. I can't keep taking 20 min breaks to research moths in Scotland, spending an hour reading up on children from neglected backgrounds with attachment disorders, or checking what time the sun sets in London on a particular date. I'll have to leave a bunch of little notes in brackets saying things like, "~research moths later".
I use the tilde sign as a searchable note to myself - as one of my early edits I do a search through my doc for tilde signs and fix things up that I skipped over while writing as being liable to break my flow of writing. Accents, for instance, I almost always leave to fix later. I'm picky about getting them right.
Again, apologies if replies to PMs and reviews are patchy on my part. Please remember that your words are still read and appreciated, even if not replied to.
