Agatha Christie: What a writer!
I'm steadily making my way through all of Agatha Christie's classics and having a super time doing so. What a marvellous writer & such vivid characters & clever plots.
Which Christie Classic is your favourite?
So far I think mine is The body in the library. Having said that I think I prefer Poirot to Marple but both are wonderful characters!

Turn the other cheek
Being a self published author is sometimes bloody hard work and you've certainly got to get used to criticism and disappointments. Receiving rejection letters from publishers is always a bit of a knock back and not hearing back at all is even worse. However getting messages and reviews from readers is amazing and makes you fight harder for your dreams. It's a bit like a fight in Dynasty: You get slapped in the face but you turn the other cheek and slap back even harder!

Competition Time!
Competition Time!!! Win a copy of 'Letters to Rachel' for a friend by posting a pic of your copy of my novel alongside bits and bobs that make you happy. It could be as simple as a cup of tea and a chocolate hobnob or a bunch of flowers or even your pet cat (if they'll sit still long enough!). For the more daring types perhaps it's 'Letters to Rachel' whilst abseiling or scuba diving (you might need to wrap it in cling film to attempt that one!) Whatever makes YOU smile. The winner will than be drawn at random on December 1st so get snapping and post your pic to my Letters to Rachel Facebook Page.
P.S if your copy is on your Kindle you can join in too. All you have to do is take a pic of your kindle showing the Letters to Rachel cover page!

Book Cover Dilemmas!
Hmmm... I simply can't make up my mind about my front cover for Zelda and the Crystal Slippers. Which do you prefer? The black crow and the magic beans or the picture of Zelda. Let me know what you think! :)

RIP Val Biro
Today I found out that the children's author and illustrator Val Biro recently died. Many of you will know him for his books about Gumdrop his vintage car. I was lucky enough to meet Val and go to his house shortly before starting on my first children's book. He gave me some super advice and was a real gentleman. Rest In Peace Val.
