Recent Read: Alice 19th
So, back in January when I said I would clean up my act for 2017, I should have known that I’d hit a lot of walls face first. That’s just what I do. That’s what I do every year. Which is why I haven’t written a blog post in TWO MONTHS.

2017 Goals
I’ve never done New Years resolutions. I’ve always thought it unrealistic to set up some lofty goals that I should accomplish for the year just because I was feeling new and determined and positive for one day. I knew that setting those goals would just be setting myself up for failure because I’d start off with good intentions, then inevitably give up. “Can My Kid Read This Book?”
One of the questions I get asked quite often about Uniting the Heavens is “can my kid read this book?” This is great because it means a lot of families read the same book. It encourages discussion and creates a shared experience. I’ve had people buy my book and tell me they’re going to read it, then pass it on to their middle-school child to read next. I’ve had people buy multiple copies because waiting is tough! (I can’t say that I blame them since UtH is 342 pages. That can equate to quite...

Goodreads Giveaway – Thank You!
The Goodreads giveaway for Uniting the Heavens ended at midnight this past Friday. When I checked the stats on Saturday morning, I was overjoyed to see that 910 people had requested it. As an unknown author this was huge for me. You might say those are just people who want a chance at a free book–no big deal, but in my eyes, it’s 910 people who have now seen the cover of my book, 910 people who have read the title. I’m super excited!
