R. W. Thompson received his B. S. in Education from Westfield State University before embarking on a career teaching U. S. History, World History, Latin America History and World Geography at the middle school level for fifteen years, and coached football, baseball and wrestling at the high school and junior college level. During that time period he earned his Master of Educational Administration degree and served as an elementary principal in a school with grades K-8 for seventeen years. He is now retired and lives with his wife in Westfield, MA. Waddle’s Big Adventure is his first chapter book and fourth children’s book.
