(view spoiler)[In Cherokee lore, the Great Owl is the one who calls souls when their time has ended. When you hear the Great Owl call on a cold and lonely night, do not ask for whom he calls, the answer may not be one you want to hear! (hide spoiler)]

Ally and Noah from The Notebook! Ally is suffering from Alzheimer's disease and Noah reads to her from her notebook journal. Ally remembers that they are the couple from the story and becomes lucid for a few minutes. Just hearing their love story is enough to bring Ally back to him again if only for a short while.
The interchange between them reminds us that true love gets stronger with time. Money, looks, and other superficial things don’t matter in the end, because having each other is enough. We should all be so lucky as to find someone to grow old with who will love us until the end. Perhaps it is because at my age I have rediscovered how much I love my wife and we are having the greatest love affair ever!

A novel for young adults. Entitled "Tracks", it is about the discovery of a rare New England Cougar by a twelve year old boy and the impact that discovery has on the cougar, the boy and the people around them. I just finished the first chapter this week.
Also have a picture book in the works entitled "The Gift", about a blind storyteller and the gifts he gives and receives.

Generally by the people or events around me. Sometimes someone will make a comment about life and it becomes an idea for a book. An example of this is my granddaughter(age 4) asking me if a mouse has Christmas. This led to the picture book, "Mrs. Mouse's Christmas"!

From my grandson. He has had a little penguin for about 3 years, since he was5, and last year when I was working on a project, he asked me to please write a book about his penguin, Waddle. We started talking about it and it moved from being a picture book to a chapter book titled Waddle's Big Adventure. This worked out great because he is now in grade 3 and reading very well.
