So, you want to be an #indie #author… Part One
[image error]
Hi, I’m no expert, but something Alex J. Cavanaugh, ninja, founder of the must-be-infamous Insecure Writers Support Group, and Amazon best-selling sci-fi author, said in a comment to another post on another blog, made me think. Maybe I really can inspire or help another writer. So, in case I can, I’ve decided to try and blog about my publication journey (with some helpful links along the way).
So, today, I will take you through the writing of Long novel, Plotless novel, Co-written novel, Emotional novel, THE NOVEL, and Grief novel.

Cover Reveal Post: A FABRICATION OF THE TRUTH

Publication date: September 20th 2016!
AMAZON
Readers, get ready to hear much more about this talented debut author and her novels. You are going to love her as well as her characters and their stories. For example, this story will have you on the edge of your seats, clutching at your romantic heart with one hand and a box of Kleenex with the other. Here’s why:
Synopsis:
The last time Lexie Stein saw Dalton Reyes he lay in a pool of blood, hovering somewhere between life and death. Now, five years later, he’s the new guy in her high school.
What happened between then and now is a mystery Lexie is afraid to explore. Just one lie uncovered from her past can cause the house of cards she’s so carefully constructed to come crashing down around her. And Dalton is the key to that past.
She doesn’t need her grandmother’s warnings to convince her that Dalton means trouble. But the bond they shared as kids seems to have only gotten stronger, transforming into something wonderful and powerful.
When Dalton opens up about the intervening years and what they mean for his future, Lexie is determined not to let him get away a second time.

Vote For Your Favorite Cover Design Direction!
There are many reasons an author may choose to self-publish. I’ve chosen to become an indie author because I love not only the writing part of publishing, but also the business side. I’m excited to have creative control over my covers, titles, content, and formats. I also feel empowered to hire my own professional editors and designers, whatever I decide I need to make a quality product for readers. I have control over when I publish, how much I price my books for, and where I put them up for sale.
Cover design is one of the BEST parts. I have so much fun creating covers. That said, I spend a lot of time designing a variety of covers for all my paranormal and contemporary titles. Since I’ll be releasing my paranormal trilogy first, those are the covers I’m spending the most time on.
As an indie author, I have the freedom to make my own rules, at least a little bit. So, I’d like to open up my design direction to readers, writers, authors, bloggers, and the general public. Will you help me decide which direction to choose? Which set of covers appeals most to you?
Please let me know! Vote in the comments section for cover set A, B, C, D, E, F, G, or even H. And now there’s also Z!
Obviously these are not even close to what the final product will look like (And I need to resize), but before I go further, I’m curious which is most appealing to YOU! Some images show the front cover only and others show the full book spread, including cover, spine, and back.
I appreciate your participation. Much love, cecelia❤

the good, the ugly, THE NEWS
THE NEWS: i have decided to take the plunge into the business side of publication and SELF-PUBLISH MY NOVELS. this is NOT an over-night decision. it’s one i almost made two years ago, but obviously didn’t. why publish my books myself? that’s a fantastic question. a question, i think, you can ask several different authors and receive several different answers to. although you may get varying degrees of similar responses. MY reason will be explained in a future blog post.
