With the inauguration of Donald Trump as President of the United States, there has been an enormous amount of explosive political tension.
Richard Spencer has been in the news following viral coverage of the criminal assault upon him in Washington D.C. by a leftist ideologue. There is a rapidly growing bounty at Wesearchr – already worth many thousands of dollars – to identify and bring his attacker to justice.
Jack Murphy was covered by The Atlantic and Business Insider as confronting Richard Spencer at a Deploraball afterparty. He has since made waves in social media by declaring the #AltRight brand as dead, and claiming Richard Spencer refuses to debate him.

Bamboo Cages And Gardens
Bloody hands reach out from bamboo cages.
When I wrote this part of The Nine Laws it was sobering and painful.
I was a child when I was first confronted with the harshness of the dark world, and saw firsthand the pain in the eyes of the helpless. I heard the words of men who watched their loved ones die as they stood powerless against the depredations of tyrants, and their sorrow taught me much.

Bamboo Cages And Gardens
“They are pulling my Daddy’s fingernails out.”
The words of the five-year-old were calm but the sadness in his eyes spoke volumes as he repeated himself, standing there in my dining room.
“They locked him in a bamboo cage. Now they are pulling his fingernails out.”
I listened with uncertainty and surprise. I was not more than two years older than him, but still old enough to know that keeping a man in a cage was wrong.
There was something unnatural about it that bothered me more than the torture he described. The pain of torn out fingernails would hurt, I thought.
But being in a cage? That was very bad. Did people really do that to each other?
“Why are they keeping him in a cage?” I asked.
“Indira Gandhi is scared of him,” he said.
Who was Indira Gandhi? How far away was India, where the boy and his mother were from? Why did they do those things there? Why were he and his mother now living with us?
I had so many questions.
“Hush,” my mother said. “They are family friends. Don’t talk about his father.”
Family friends they were, for generations. My mother, the daughter of a university president, had continued a deep friendship that her father had begun in the days of India’s early independence. And with the rise of Indira Gandhi to power and the declaration of emergency in the early 1970’s, political opponents were jailed and horrifically treated.
Thus the man’s wife and son fled to America and stayed with us for a time. Forty years later that friendship still lives, although it has been many years since I last saw them.
The day Indira Gandhi was machine-gunned to death by her own bodyguards I remember thinking, simply, that karma might be slow – but it never forgot to return and feed.
I grew up loathing tyrants but with a very firm understanding of power.
My mother’s politics were quite different from mine. A lifelong socialist educated at Berkeley, her economic beliefs were starkly opposed to the ones I embraced as an adult in my own right. But she successfully and fiercely instilled an important truth in me, and we never disagreed on this point even in the most heated political discussions that followed as I reached adulthood:
Power matters. Men with power eventually turn cruel ambitious guns on their brothers with predictable butchery. And the heroes of freedom often die miserably against a wall, or in a hastily dug grave in the forest. But the work they did was crucial to the tide of history.
And the only thing that opposed power, was power itself.
“Why can’t his family or friends just break him out?” I asked her.
“They have no power,” she replied. “They would be killed if they tried.”
I absorbed that, deciding that powerless was never something I wanted to be.
As I grew up the stories of resistance were often firsthand. There were many guests at the dinner table from far corners of the world. One gentleman, a politician exiled from Haiti under the regime of Papa Doc Duvalier, told me stories of the terrifying secret police under the dictator.
“They are called the Tonton Macoute,” he said.
“You knew them by their mirror sunglasses and their cruelty.”
I listened, rapt, still trying to grasp at that age how this thing called power worked.
“They would come and take you away in front of everyone. Beat you to death and hang you from a tree, and if your family did not leave your body there, they would be taken away too.”
“But couldn’t you fight back? What if everyone fought back all at once?” I asked.
I did not like this story. What if that was your brother, your mother, you had to leave hanging there? How could you just accept that without bringing justice back into the world?
He shrugged. “Do you want to be the first?” he asked. “That is how you die.
“Bad men take power and everyone else suffers.
“Fear is how the powerless are controlled.”
He smoked his pipe, silently, and I considered what he said about power and fear.
Many decades later my father remarried a Frenchwoman and retired to the north of France. My new stepmother and I looked across the garden of the home she grew up in, and I listened as she told me the story of her older brother.
“The Gestapo took him that afternoon, in front of our mother and father.”
Her voice was level with characteristic Gallic phlegm. “They came with an officer and three soldiers. We never saw him again.
“They shot him at Stutthof camp in Poland as the end of the war neared. The Germans knew the war was lost. They killed everyone.”
Her brother was in the Resistance and paid the ultimate price for his opposition to power. The work he did of insurrection, of secret messages and smuggling, of sabotage and assassination, had impact.
There was sacred value in it. Though he did not survive to see his native France risen from under the boot of the invader, the work he did helped to change the fate of his nation and his people. And it was honored by them, with words that bespoke their love and respect for his sacrifice.
It is a small memorial, on the outside of the house. Underneath his name, graven there with dignity into the cold and weathered stone, the words are simple, solemn, and sublime.

Here remained a patriot.
Shot at Stutthof, 1944.
He was twenty-seven years old.
But his countrymen remember.
He died for France.
Patriot.
A word that has grave and passionate depth, that exudes and resonates with power.
Power is the responsibility of every human being.
Personal power, tribal power, national power, power of civilization.
You will not impact fate without power.
You will not protect your family and community without power.
You will not steer the fate of your people without power.
Power is your prerogative, the demand of manhood.
Cultivate it, attain it, and deliver it.
Power is what unlocks the cage and frees bloody hands from torture.
Power is what halts men with mirror sunglasses when they arrive with machetes and cruelty.
Power preserves peace and safety in the garden, and power is what men honor after death.
Seek it, and hold it. You and your people will need it.
It is the way of the dark world.

The Seventh Law is Power.
You bear sole responsibility for your own survival and for establishment of your power.
Your loved ones depend upon your cultivation, expresson and resonance of it.
Never leave them to die alone and helpless in fear.
Train well in the methods of power.
Start here with this exercise from The Nine Laws:
FORGING THE IRON: EXULTANT POWER
Learn: Consider that correct use of power is absent regret. Examine at a miniscule level how you apply power or restraint. Flip scale to observe where power is hindered by apology instead of expressed as prerogative. Continue this dual assessment each day of living.
Explore:
What power do believe you truly possess, and would it remain if you were stripped naked?
Where in life do you choose abstention and regret rather than exercise of natural power?
Where does emasculation fester within you, and is it thrust upon you or volunteered?
Power is the prerogative of those who possess it.
Reflect: Describe an encounter when your most powerful expression was wholly absent ego. Reflect on the outcome and itemize the feelings that accompanied this purity of expression in the world.
Train: Return to the feeling of absolute power and prerogative, and accept that feeling as your deserved birthright, belonging to a being made in the image of God.
Task: Dissect your greatest power. What is left if that is gone? Identify three alternate sources.
Bamboo cages are a travesty.

It was fortituously brought to my attention this morning by Vile Faceless Minion #5411 of the Supreme Dark Lord that there was a tweetstorm worth reading.
I went and had a look. It was lovely, and succinct, and accurate, and comes from @ClarkHat on Twitter.
It is worth preserving, and commenting on.

The Vile Faceless Minions are everywhere, and they watch all.
When they bring a matter to my attention, I look well. I tell you that lords and banners matter in the dark world, and when the troops sound horns of alert you best direct your attention to the call that sounds in the distance:
Truth bombs are an opportunity to learn.
Read well what @ClarkHat had to share this morning. I have broken his superb observations into clusters, followed by my comments. Grasp the reality of what he says, and consider whether these truths apply to you, and how you can put them into practice:

Learn from this.
Cultivate respect as a powerful forge of delivery. Strive ever to speak from the heart of authenticity and truth. Forge your thought, word and deed into a single penetrating example that even your mentors do not need words to recognize.

Be acutely aware of your audience.
Grasp the difference between the male and female, the gradient that exists between perception and expression. Understand that the markets of the world assign value with infinite neutrality, and do not accord weight to ideology or social pressure when assessing that value.

Recognition of the reality of the dark world is an ongoing process. It depends, however, not only on individual effort and fortitude and seeking of knowledge and comparison to experience.
It also demands, to produce societal economy of scale, a culture that fosters reality rather than transient and degenerate idiocy.
The West has suffered badly from collapse of internal narratives and presentation of putrid examples:

Snark is more dreadful than men realize.
Snark arises from bitterness. That bitterness is the product of resentment, and that resentment in turn is spawned from internal recognition of comparative weakness.
Do not be weak. Harden yourself, my brothers. Do not be resentful of weakness. It is curable.
Weakness arises in the mind and in the heart. It comes from refusal to accept reality. It comes from refusal to put in the work required to advance and grow. It comes from despair applied to the demand for cultivation, and refusal to delay gratification in preference for instantaneous appearance of victory rather than the true achievement of the apex predator: the human being.
The world was dark when I arrived. I did not make it dark. Nor did you.
But it is what it is:

500 Nazi Scalps Petition Lists Dark Triad Man
500 Nazi Scalps sure sounds like fun.
And it is, since idiocy masquerading as earnest political correctness makes everyone laugh.
A new petition on Change.org addressed to Twitter and Square CEO Jack Dorsey demands the taking of “500 Nazi Scalps” and the banning of listed accounts from Twitter.
My followers, of course, are very quick and noticed immediately. They took the time to let me know so I could join in the delighted mockery:
500 Nazi Scalps is silly entertainment.
Being included in this list is beyond amusing. While I am indeed a nationalist, I’m certainly not a socialist, as I’ve spent the last ten years in the financial industry.
Nor am I a German, or of German descent. I am deeply proud of my English heritage and the ferocious history my family has survived over the last seven centuries.
As a skilled career professional, I am certainly not a “worker”. I manage workers.
I’m registered as an independent voter and don’t belong to any political party.
I therefore do not qualify as a member of the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei.
But facts are lost on snowflakes.
Enjoy the comedy of 500 Nazi Scalps.
The most delightful aspect of this is that such earnest, hyperbolic denouncing is met with humor and fun by intended targets.
It is a good sign. For laughter is the sound of power, and derisive mockery is the foil by which childish leftists are subjugated.
500 Nazi Scalps misses the mark entirely.
