Spring Photos From Ohio's Amish Country

Here is a typical Old Order Amish moving van.  It will be used for everything from large livestock to fine furniture, and the Schwartzentruber sect that favors this style is the most conservative of all the Amish people in Ohio.  It was a rare sight to find them passing through town.  Mostly the Schwartzentrubers stay close to their farms.

The Ohioana Book Festival - May 10, 2014, In Columbus, Ohio

I will be one of the featured authors this year at the annual Ohioana Book Festival.  There will be 87 other authors - autographing books, appearing on numerous panels, and giving lectures and seminars about writing and such - and I very much hope that I'll see you there.  The full day's schedule will be announced soon, and I will make a few appearances in Columbus during the week prior to the festival.
