About 'The Oxford Aeronaut'

My novels tell the story of true live character, James Sadler. James was a pioneer of flight but is largely forgotten even in his home town of Oxford.

I came across a plaque to James' memory in Christ Church Meadows, Oxford and found a fascination which has taken me to interesting places, meeting fascinating people. I also learned much about the Age of Enlightenment, the dawn of the age of Science and sheltering many eccentric characters who need to be brought to light.

The Oxford Aeronaut is a blend of ripping yarn, biographical novel & love story, but heavily based on my original research.

More pertinently, I hope my novels prove it's never too late to become an author. The body ages but the mind does not. Writing is one of few careers which improve with age.
